Toasts are one of our most favorite parts of the evening. Whether they are funny, sad, emotional, or embarrassing, a great toast is a must-have part of the reception. Southland DJs always provides a cordless microphone for toasts during your reception.

If you still need some decor for your wedding, you need to visit The Springs Events in Weatherford on Sunday at 1 pm. The venue is having a bridal garage sale and you don’t want to miss it!!! Come early because the good stuff goes quick!

Leanne and Chris were the perfect couple - super easy to work with, so much fun on their wedding day, and just about the nicest people you could ever hope to meet! I am so glad that I got to be part of their wedding day! Congrats to both of them and we wish you many, many years of love and happiness!

We often get asked where the DJ and photo booth should be set up. This is a great question and there are definitely better (and worse) places for your DJ. For the ranch-style venues, we recommend having the DJ on the stage and the photo booth in one of the front corners. This provides the DJ with a great view of the dance floor and your guests with easy access to the photo booth.
If you’re interested in using the stage for something else, the DJ fits nicely into the front corner on the opposite side of the room from the photo booth.

One of the things we love the most about Parker Manor is that there is a beautiful plan b ceremony option in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. Brooke and Travis’ ceremony was so cool on the staircase.

It is so much fun watching guests have fun with our photo booth! Our photo booth is:
1. Open for your entire reception.
2. Able to fit lots of people in one shot.
3. Ready to print as many photo strips as you need.

We are hanging out in Denton today for evening tours at ! What an amazing venue for your wedding!!! This place has everything you need: beautiful bridal suite, comfortable room for guys, amazing ceremony sites, lots of photo opportunities, tables, chairs, and 15 hour rental! makes planning your wedding super easy.
(They happen to recommend a pretty cool DJ company, too. 😉)

Plan on having your friends say some (hopefully) good things about you??? You’re going to need a microphone! We always provide a cordless microphone for speeches and toasts so you can stand anywhere you like for this special part of the evening.
We also closely monitor what is being said so we can kill the volume if things start to get too personal. 😂😂😂 Just kidding!

A great party deserves a great send off! Phoebe and Roberto’s send off was so colorful and fun!
Pro tip: if you want lots of guests to be present for your send off, make sure your party doesn’t run so long that nobody is left at send off time. (There is such a thing as a reception that is too long.)
Pro tip #2: fake send offs for pictures are hardly ever a good idea because guests typically start to leave in droves after the fake send off.

A beautiful reception hall is only complete with a beautiful DJ setup. Don’t hire a DJ that makes your reception look worse! Our setups always add to the aesthetics of your hall…and our DJ’s always add to fun of your evening!!!

Even after three hours of dancing, we still had them out on the dance floor! We often get asked if we play Latin music. The answer is a definite YES!!! Latin, Tejano, cumbias, norteños…we have it and we play it!
Rosa and Christian had such a great crowd and it was so much fun celebrating with them!
