Just wanted to pop on here and express how grateful I am that I get to work doing something I enjoy, while at the same time being able to be present to raise my kid.

Having my own business has been a learning curve I didn’t expect, and I’m not gonna lie, I’m constantly working to shape it into something that fits my current phase of life.

Balancing mom time with business time is a day to day feat and it has made me appreciate all the mom-preneurs in my life so much more.

Tagging and collaborating with accounts on your own social posts helps increase your reach. It’s just like word of mouth, but the online version.

FOLLOWING
Following similar accounts to your business niche helps the algorithm curate your preferred audience by reaching potential customers that are ACTUALLY interested in what you’re selling.

LIKING & COMMENTING
Liking and commenting on posts increases your visibility. If possible, spend a few minutes a day engaging with your online community and audience. This includes liking, commenting and responding to messages.

Today we ‘Get Social’ with Kaitlyn Fleming Photography 💬

Established in 2017, Kaitlyn Fleming Photography has been on social media run by photographer and owner Kaitlyn Clark. She has a big wonderful presence in the Azle, TX area and beyond and is a proud member of the Azle Area Chamber of Commerce. Read on for some of her thoughts on social media!

Q: What is something you like about social media?
A: I love that with photography, that you never have an excuse not to post as long as you’re booking shoots. Therefore, I will always have content and something fun to share about my business. And having a “creative brain”, I actually enjoy posting and creating content (most of the time).

Q: What is something you dislike about social media?
A: The algorithms! Every apps algorithm is so different. After posting for 8 years on my photography account I feel like I somewhat finally understand the algorithms but at the same time, they’re always changing.

Q: Have you found/developed a strategy for social media for your business that works for you?
A: Sort of! I try my best to post at least 3 times a week. At least one reel, at least one carousel post, and at least one regular post, and post on my story every day, multiple times a day. In my head, as long as I post, someone is bound to see my art and it make an impression on them.

Q: What’s a piece of advice you would give to another business in regards to their online/social media presence?
A: Post, post, POST! And try to be on all the main social media platforms, especially if you don’t have a website. Everyone always goes to social media first to find people, make it easy for them to find you! Also, be yourself on social media! Everyone always wants to see the person behind the business.
