The KING OF THE STREETS DFW Dj battle is a local competition and convention where Djs from all around the metroplex come together to showcase their skills with the winner being crowned Dallas/Ft Worth's Best Dj. The top 3 winners get cash prizes to further advance their careers, trophies and various features on local podcasts, magazines and radio. The King of the Streets DJ battle was formed to re
cognize the amount of talented djs here in the local area. It is a competition and convention that recognizes the endless creativity, nature in music, and countless hours which are put in practice and preparation for this craft and art. The competition itself is a combine mixture of Redbull th3style and DMC competitions.In the first round winners will be judged on creativity, crowd reaction and music selection. The top 4 winners from each night will advance to the finals where they eliminate each other in a 1v1 versus battle. Although fairly new and still advancing, last years 3 day dj battle brought in hundreds of people not only interested in djing but curious to see a growing art. People were treated to local vendors and aspiring entrepreneurs who sold merchandise which caters to the art. Djs mixed and mingled not only with each other but various musicals and artist from around the metroplex.
