Vows and speeches are best created in the moment, not before it!
1. You cannot truly know how you will feel on the day of your wedding! You might be surprised to find yourself overcome with emotion and tears as someone who doesn’t usually cry in front of others. Or, you might have expected yourself to cry but instead, you were smiling and laughing the entire day (and that is ok)! When writing down vows or a speech, you will miss out on those day of emotions which are so special!
2. Some of the best speeches and vows that I have heard were spontaneous! Something special about having those spontaneous / unplanned moments is that they are imperfect, emotional, but so full of heart! Guests are able to *feel* much more of your emotion when shared in the present moment!
As someone who pre-wrote my wedding vows, I look back and wish that I hadn’t. While I meant every word that I said, the true joy and feelings of the day were much more evident in the unplanned moments of the day!
All in all, I have heard beautifully written vows and speeches! For some people, having something written is the best choice due to nervousness or whatever it may be (and that is understandable)! However, I am a lover of the spontaneous and unplanned moments of the day. ❤️

Groomsmen are the “wild cards” of the day in the sense that you never know what the day will entail! You might get the calm and relaxed group of groomsmen, you might get the ones ready to party the moment they walk in on wedding day, or you might get a combination, groomsmen running late, or other mishaps throughout the day (like losing a suit button *cough cough* Ryan)! 🤣
So with the unpredictability of groomsmen, I was NOT sure how a first look would go and questioned whether I should have prepped the guys on what to do when they turn around. However, to my surprise, they absolutely nailed it and did a fantastic job at uplifting and cheering on the bride!

In all honesty, the wedding *can* continue on without a wedding coordinator… but usually, that also means you are giving up something to make do without one! The first thing that comes to mind is, for the bride, you will certainly be the point person for the day which might cause some stress! You might also end up having to be a part time manager on your wedding day, making sure everything runs smoothly as you want it to! While technically the day can continue on without a coordinator, the day will certainly be so much more enjoyable with one! Food for thought 🥰❤️
