Pictured here: a wedding planner in her natural environment. This past weekend was such a dream, I truly needed documentation to showcase how happy I was to see this one through. Never underestimate the power of a great dessert table design! Most of your guests reception tables are likely going to look very similar to each other, and a fun and focused dessert table can really playfully break up the uniformity of that!

Make it big and make it readable; probably my best advice for seating charts of large guest counts! Anytime we can prevent a bottleneck at the seating plan, we promote a smoother transition between cocktail hour and dinner service. Beauty and function can and should always coincide when it comes to weddings!

Okay, I'm not going to do this ins and outs post because I am a rebel at heart, but seeing everyone else's has really made me think about what I think stands out in my previous weddings and what I hope is here to stay in terms of design: and that is intentional lighting design. It can take literally any room from good to GREAT. it completely changes the mood of dinner service and dancing, and for those who dare to vibe, your night time wedding ceremonies. If you're designing with me for 2024/2025 season, do be aware I am going to strongly encourage you to budget for various scopes of lighting design, because trust me, IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

A year and a half ago this Bride told me, she wanted to create a place that felt like an art installation for her guests to dine inside. She showed me literal photos of art installations showcased across the world. I was so excited, but let's also be honest, pretty nervous. Was this possible at her venue? Who could I trust with the actual installation? How close would it be to her vision? And was it possible inside our budget? To see this play out exactly how we all hoped and dreamed was a true delight. By the hands of .and.venture and careful planning between their team, myself, and , we were able to execute this dream sequence for our couple on this wedding day exactly how they wanted! And this capture by encapsulates the experience perfectly!! So proud and thankful for everyone involved! And mostly grateful to my client for trusting me with her dreams!
