Hi, I'm Alexes Buchanan I am an on-site location photographer (hope to have a studio in the future)! I am married to Ryan Buchanan and we have one beautiful son named John. I started seriously taking pictures in high school, where I first started for the year book. Eaves (the amazing journalism teacher at Denison) taught me so much and encouraged me to believe in myself. My senior year I was chose

n as lead photographer. After high-school I no longer had access to the nice cameras I was used to, so my photography passion was put on hold for a little while. This past Christmas, my dad FINALLY got me the BEST GIFT EVER (thanks dad!). Since then I have been practicing with my Canon Rebel and sharpening up my skills once again. Photography is my passion. I get so excited when I book a photo shoot that I usually can't sleep the night before! I have been blessed to have the support of my family and friends, especially my husband, to start my own thing. Siblings 💙💚💜 sibling are seriously a favorite of mine. Seeing the bond my own kids have makes me always look for that sibling connection in families I work with. It’s so sweet to see kids interact with their first best friends!

I always try to get a shot of mom and dad together at the end of a session! I know that as parents sometimes all of our focus gets directed towards getting littles to cooperate and it’s easy to forget to refocus on each other. Mom and dad is where it all comes together!

It’s been a minute since I’ve shared my photography 😬 I’m still at it!! Just haven’t been sharing because we are all a little coocoo living this and of course
BUT all these back to school photos are getting me excited and I’m day dreaming of fall family sessions!! 🍂🍁🧣 mini session dates coming soon! But if you know you want a family session we can get it scheduled now before my weekend schedule is full. Booked and paid before the end of September get a discount!

I’m ready to get off the CORONA bench and get my business going again. In March when IT happened, what would have been my BUSIEST time of year I was halted to a dead stop 😑. Friends are so important! In an age where everyone is our “friend” online it’s so important to make sure you have a few good real life friends!
Seeing these girls friendship was so fun! We laughed and adventured to get some great shots for their BFF mini session! Let me know if you are interested in getting your friends together for a session!

View of our current situation 😷😷😷
Seems like when one thing happens two or three more follow. Maybe it’s just part of having a big family 🤷‍♀️. The boys have been sick, I haven’t been feeling well and Ryan was on a mission trip all last week. He had a wonderful time, and I did my best to offer my struggles at home as a prayer for him and those he was ministering to. He’s home now, and hopefully the boys will begin to feel better too!
