💥Update: Due to operational changes made at S4 it is no longer a viable location to host Release. As our supporters know, Release is an audio/visual experience that requires substantial investment in sound, lighting, and visuals. The changes made at S4 made making those investments impossible. Rather than sacrificing what makes Release unique, we felt it was best to discontinue them. We leave on good terms and wish S4 and Caven Enterprises much success in the future. Please continue to support S4 and all the establishments on The Strip so they will be remain for future generations of the LGBTQIA+ community to enjoy.

We have decided to hold off on rushing into a new venue while both of us work on other projects. Blake will be focusing all his time and energy into Purple Foundation - Dallas Purple Party and Bodhi will split their time between CALAGNA Music and Remix Your World.

That does not mean the end of Release. We plan to bring it back in its next version when it feels right and where Release feels at home.

Thank you to everyone who joined us along this journey. We are beyond grateful for your support and we can't wait to see you all again soon.

Blake Baker and Bodhi Calagna invite you to RELEASE at Station 4...and we're turning it up a notch with more production, more visuals, and even bigger sound. Get ready for another BIG .

Our last Release with Cindel was was the biggest one yet, and you don't want to miss what we have in store for the next one. Guaranteed we'll continue to raise the bar and exceed all expectations. We're just getting started.

RELEASE is back at S4 on AUGUST 12th, and since it's Leo season, we think it is a perfect time for our fav Leo to return to the decks.

MORABITO will be playing all night long, so expect a proper musical journey from start to finish. The lion represents strength, personal power, and courage, so get those lion and jungle lewks together and RELEASE what no longer serves you. We wanna see that big "mane" energy!

Get ready for a seven hour musical marathon like only MORABITO can do. Expect an exploration of genres weaved together with energy building and building from opening, peak-hour, all the way through afterhours.

DJ Cindel grew up around Chicago where his endless exposure to house music led to his love, and eventual practice, of producing it. Having done so since the age of 15, he has especially honed his skills creating tech house & Afro house drum mixes and tribal-house vocals layered into . Major influences such as Danny Tenaglia, Oscar G, Robbie Rivera and Ralphi Rosario, along with his Puerto Rican roots, have helped mold his style into a successful career.

Cindel made great strides by being named the WINNER of Matinee Las Vegas 2013 and debuting at Circuit Barcelona Festival that same year as part of the grand price.

After a great year working hard on his craft and making a name for himself, Cindel was nominated and voted Best Circuit DJ at the Odyssey NYC nightlife awards in 2014 and took his career to the next level by headlining major gigs such as the legendary Pier dance during New York Pride, treehouse world pride Toronto and played internationally in cities like Tokyo, São Paulo, Santiago, Cartagena, San Juan, Mykonos, Atlantis Cruise, London, Paris, Ireland just to name a few.

I can’t count the number of journeys I’ve been on with Abel on the decks. When I left Louisiana to move to Miami, Abel captivated me and inspired me to experiment with new sounds and music.

Have you ever experienced one of those legendary Monday Marathons that started on Sunday, but your ass didn’t leave until 5 pm on Monday?
�
Fortunately, I have. So many times. So many memories. One of my favorite memories was when my then manager, Mike Mazer, came over to me and said, “shouldn’t you be taking notes?” I smiled, and pulled out a notepad and a pen, and said, “I already am.” There was no Shazam, no cell phones with note pads. It was you, your friends and the music. And, I knew that I was in the presence of mastery, and I was a young Jedi looking for clues to find my path and sound.

Still to this day, he is the only “circuit” DJ; I use that word as a community, not the genre that has ever gotten me on a box. I’ve screamed at him from that dance floor more times than I can remember. He was such a part of my success, and it’s an honor to have him play RELEASE.
�
RELEASE was created to bring new light and sounds to the dancefloor. I wanted to create a vibe for the DJs and artists to take us on proper musical journeys where genres were off-limits, and the vibe is king. I wanted to give you a place to unleash yourself and a space that invites you to step outside of your “circuit music” comfort zone. I’m beyond proud of the artists we have had the privilege of bringing to you.

I have no idea what this legend has in store for us, but one thing I do know is that there will be so much love, energy, power, and emotion behind it. I can’t wait to lose myself on his dance floor for another magical journey.

One of the most powerful ways to #release is thru movement. My movement of choice is to throw it down on the dancefloor, let go and leave it all in a pile of sweat. As a DJ, #release is about sharing and serving sacred, sassy and soulful rhythms to elevate the soul while watching you lose control. I wanted to create an event that gave me the old school feeling of having a residency. After touring for so many years and playing shorter sets, I wanted a place that I could create a journey musically and play from deep, funky and soulful to tech, melodic and progressive without having to stay in the constant energy of a big room. There is so much amazing music out there that I crave to share and have what I call my musical #release. Alyson Calagna

Alyson and I have been friends for more than a decade, having worked together many times at Purple Party/Purple Foundation, for which I served as longtime president. Producing events and experiences have become part of who I am and I’m looking forward to this new venture with Alyson. For the longest time, she and I have discussed doing our own events together spotlighting different music and a fresh vibe. I couldn’t be more excited to be finally doing it. It’s one of my favorite ways to #release my creativity, connect with community and dance my ass off. We invite you to join us for one of our unique dance experiences in Dallas and beyond.
