There are about one million parts of our home that is not complete. Holes in the walls, sheet rock missing, black insulation walls, light fixtures that have yet to be changed, missing baseboards and the list could go on. I realized through a friend that having one spot settled in our home gives me a space to relax and rest. I’m thankful for this chair and that window. I’m thankful for the table with all the scratches from kids gathering and drawing and eating (and intentionally scratching). I’m thankful for the slow life we have been given… the dirt and projects and work and all. It’s teaching me something. It’s teaching me a lot of something’s.

Moral of the story. Find one spot in your home and make it a place you just thoroughly enjoy. Homes are meant to do that… be enjoyed. Not the Pinterest version- the real life version.

I’d love to see the spaces you enjoy most in YOUR home. 🫶🏼

Tomorrow is Grab & Go day!! Here is what you’ll need to know….

✨we are still in the midst of a ton of construction and renovation on our house which means you’ll get to experience nasty shed and soak up all its nasty (minus the flowers, of course). That is on our list to make special, but everything takes time.

✨ there will be a limited quantity available. To make sure you get what you are wanting, DM and just let me know you’ll be here to grab and I’ll put your name on it.

✨ pick up times will be between 9-7pm.

✨ I will have prices labeled in the cooler so you can choose what you’d like. For the first bit, we will have mostly $20 mason jar grab & gos. You can absolutely spice these up by just transferring your flowers to a vase you love at home.

✨ all flowers have been grown here in our small garden. Your support will help that small garden turn into a big garden next year. 🤞

We are so grateful for each of you who support our family through purchasing, sharing, encouraging and more. Y’all are precious to me and I’m so grateful to get to grow these for you and your people to enjoy. 🫶🏼

The inefficiency of business right now is outstanding. Im learning to measure the goodness of my business NOT by that… I’m learning to measure it by gratitude.

This basket may have added time to designing. I may have wheeled flowers inside our kitchen to design and then back out to the little Flower House to finish. I may not have a sink outside, but I had one inside. I may not have gotten things done quickly, but the Lord has given me a job that allows me to work around my family. That is the goodness I have. Thank you for allowing me to be inefficient. It’s a gift!!

Leaving the farm to go freelance for and I’m just so happy!! Plants and momma are happy. (Boys too… but they are just a bit more simple in their joys. An axe, a tree and 💥). I prefer a the sun coming up, quiet car ride and pretty studio. Ya know, all the pretty things!

Garden thoughts…

Again and again the Lord reminds me, through the garden, that He is at work. He is at work in the slow ways that cultivate goodness in us. He is at work in ways we may never see or understand. But- nonetheless, He is at work.

Plant a garden. The Lord may just teach you things there, too.

The beginnings of a new season… so much anticipation and eagerness… so much hope. I have read, planned and prepped (well cliff notes version of all these). It could be a flop. It could be stunning and special. I don’t have control of which way it will land, but what I do know is flowers make people happy. So here we are in our little spot in Grandview preparing to make people happy. ❤️

Shop update!!

Hi flower friends!! We wanted to share an update on the shop and plans for the near future.

As you have seen, we have moved to the sweet town of Grandview and are putting roots (see what I did there) down here! We purchased a piece of property that has a barndo (well sort or- it will be wonderful when it’s all done) and space for growing flowers and adventurous boys.

This season we will be prepping and cleaning the property with hopes of growing more next year! We still will be doing weddings and events but daily deliveries have been put on pause until we get our home and land ready to share pretties with you.

In the week we have had the home, country life has introduced us in fulll force. Pigs off the porch (actual pigs, not boars), learning how to pull trash cans to the top of the property, finding a copperhead den (insert 🤢), trapping rats in the house, learning what it takes to put windows in a metal building, meeting our neighbors which happen to be longhorns and lots of muddy boots. We are loving it. Well, all but the Copperheads.

Can’t wait to share this journey with you!!

Friendly reminder to change your water if you haven’t already!! The quickest way to help your flowers die is to not change the water. Fresh water every 2 days is so important!!

Drinking bacteria will cause them to die quicker, so give them a trim and a fresh drink and you have done your job!!

If you won’t drink it, dump it. 💦

It’s been wonderful and frustrating and beautiful and messy. So much work to go, but the Lord is giving us some really sweet things. I’m just so grateful!

“Flowers, for me? You brought these for me? (insert a huge smile) They are so beautiful!!” Flowers are special. They are a treat. They just do something to the heart of the person you are bringing them to. It’s truly the best.

It’s wedding day for Kayleigh & Kyle ❤️ I loved the artfulness of this wedding!! Often times I struggle to call myself an artist. I can do crafty things. I can recreate pretty things with steps. But TODAY, I learned I AM an artist. Thank you, Kayleigh, for helping me learn something that’s always been there. You are a gem!

Our flower subscription went out yesterday. The pallete was a nod to the end of summer with the hope of fall coming soon. 🍁
