This weekend I’m back at Hotel Van Zandt. One of my favorite places there is this stunning photo op in the lobby. HVZ is a fun combo of funky and modern and provides lots of sexy spaces for memorable moments.

To pull off an elevated Jurassic Park theme, the unifying elements were natural tropical greenery, plants and flowers. Intersperse dinosaur fossils and a few mini dinos and you have a nice balance of pretty and themed. But there can and should be those kitschy, obvious moments. The last pic shows a literal nod to the movie with the Barbasol shaving cream ring holder. In the movie, that’s where the dinosaur embryos were held in an attempt to smuggle them off the island. And we all know what happened after that…..🦖🦕
