Veterans Day, November 11, 2023, the Folds of Honor North Texas chapter held their annual gala to raise funds for their mission to provide life-changing scholarships for the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military. And now, their mission expands to the families of America’s first responders. Over 1,800 guests attended, made donations and bought auction items to support this worthy cause. It was inspiring! I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the event preparation through fruition.

The wedding of Travis & William last weekend at The Joule Dallas was STUNNING! Congratulations, Mr. & Mr. Munson-Erario! One of my favorite details was when the grooms switched from black tux jackets after the ceremony to white tux jackets for the reception.

My name is Camille, and my company leases The Texan in Athens from the City of Athens since the City Council approved it in May 2022. Our venue rental prices are readily available to anyone who wants to view them on our website, www.thetexanathens.com. asked us to rent The Texan for $800 for an entire weekend, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, in May 2023. That is not even close to our rental rate for one day and definitely not for an entire weekend. We did offer a lower rate for renting for an entire weekend, and Josh Wilson and Jonathan Miller of Fandom Events did not try to negotiate above $800. Anyone who has questions about this is welcome to contact me directly at 214.717.1987 or [email protected]. I am proud to live in my hometown of Athens and to now manage a local business at an Athens landmark, and I do not appreciate Fandom Events, which is based in Amarillo (not based in Athens as their profile suggests), making a post on Facebook and Instagram to trash my business that supports our community of Athens and supports my family.
