On this Team Member Tuesday we are celebrating our brilliant Producer, Maanami Matthews. If you've met Maanami, you'll know she is a consummate event professional who can juggle a million things at once. She balances that attention to detail with an intrepid spirit and an infectious laugh.

We caught up with Maanami to find out what she is looking forward to in 2024. She said, "Professionally, I am continuing to learn & see new ways to do things, learning from this amazing team I get to work with everyday." She also reflects, "Personally, I think the rest of this year's goal is [to practice] yoga - I want to get back into it because this job can be so stressful and straining on you body. Being able to be in-tune with your body during those tough times is crucial!" Whether it's meditation, exercise, or sensory deprivation, our team is in agreement that self-care, both mentally and physically, is key to surviving the world of events.

When asked what she is looking forward to, Maanami said planning and executing her first international program with Meritage! She is currently in picturesque Costa Rica with one of our clients doing what she does best; creating experiences that leave lasting impressions. "It's been a labor of love getting this one to the finish line and am super proud of how we've all made it happen".

Maanami is also enjoying a season of rediscovery. She reports being reenergized by the joy of her former passions and interests, like her love for the New York Knicks! - Any fans in the house?

Maanami also gave a touching shoutout:
"Honestly, I love this group of ladies and all they bring to the table, but I can't say enough about Stratton. She is such a powerhouse, creating these MAGICAL programs, and keeping all the pieces together flawlessly is absolutely amazing. She's also one of the kindest & caring folks you'll know. If you ever see her, ask her about some of her favorite designs she made for an event, you'll see the sparkle in her eye and the love that she has for what she does."

On this Team Member Tuesday, we're catching up with our Producer, Erin Acuff! Erin has had a whirlwind end to her summer, buttoning up some great programs and moving to Providence, Rhode Island!

Her goals for the year are getting her footing in her new home and market in the Northeast. ---
"I want to explore as much as possible, learn the area, eat at all the restaurants, and experience a true winter - although I'm sure I'll be eating my words by November!"
-
Her current mission outside of acclimating?
Learning, learning, learning! She is excited to dive deep and expand her knowledge about the event industry, explore new venues, and engage with regional vendors and event partners.

To that effect, she says, "I want to step up my networking game in my new area, meet new people in the industry, go to the meetings, and learn as much as possible from other event professionals in this part of the country." We have a suspicion Erin is going to hear the words "rain plan" about 1000x more than she did working primarily in Texas.

For her shoutouts, she says, "I would love to give a shoutout to my ENTIRE team! I completely adore everyone I work with, and feel so supported, both professionally and personally. I am proud to say I am part of this amazing group of strong women!"
