"What about mitzvahs?" I've shot three in the past couple of weeks, too busy editing to post. One I can't share as the family wishes to remain private - it was an AMAZING property, not public, wish I could show it to you! - but I'll get the others up when finished. 455 photos (and counting) on one so far, and 820 photos (and counting) on the other.

This weekend's work: Homestead this AM for Nicklaus Children's, a home wedding this evening, and a birthday party tomorrow - which is also my birthday!

Then family photos shoots on and after Thanksgiving and into the weekend. Somewhere in there I'll cook a turkey.

As usual, I’ve been too busy to post work, but Sunrise did it for me. It was an honor to take the first official photos of the latest iteration of the City of Sunrise Commission at yesterday’s swearing in ceremony. You’d never know we spent about two minutes taking this with an anxious crowd behind me waiting for the celebration to begin!

We thank the community for joining us at yesterday's Swearing-In Ceremony to celebrate the re-election of the Mayor and one Commissioner and the election of one new Commissioner to a four-year term!

🏛️ Mayor Michael J. Ryan (pictured in the center) has served as the Mayor of Sunrise since 2010. He is the president and founder of Michael J. Ryan, P.A. and a member of the Florida League of Mayors Board of Directors as well as the Broward County Regional Planning Council.

🏛️ Commissioner Joseph A. Scuotto (pictured on the left) has served on the Sunrise City Commission since 1997. He is the owner of Scuotto’s Pizza Café and a Board Member for the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization.

🏛️ Commissioner Latoya S. Clarke (pictured second from the right) is the founder of Simply Living Management and has served as an Advisory Board Member on the City’s Board of Adjustment, as well as president of the East Sunrise Residents Association.

In addition, yesterday's Special City Commission Meeting was distinguished by the transition of the Deputy Mayor and Assistant Deputy Mayor titles.

🏛️ Deputy Mayor Neil C. Kerch (pictured on the right) has served on the Sunrise City Commission since 2013.

🏛️ Assistant Deputy Mayor Jacqueline A. Guzman (pictured second from the left) has served on the Sunrise City Commission since 2020.

Wendy's biggest female fans gathered for an intimate 70th Birthday luncheon earlier this week at Temple Beth Emet. The fabulous folks in attendance ranged from ages 3 to... well, at least 70!

There are so many jobs I don’t post for various reasons. This week alone includes food photography, headshots, community events, a bar mitzvah, holiday card shoots, and even the start of directing a major documentary project, among other gigs. One recurring job I have the honor of handling is photographing awards & recognitions twice a month at City of Sunrise commission meetings, the most recent of which is shown here. Sunrise rightly spends a good amount of time recognizing the achievements of its diverse, dedicated, and talented residents and staff.

Need a little happy this morning? On Sunday I had the honor of capturing a milestone moment in the waters off Miami, as Marc proposed to Cali - and she said "Yes!" At Marc's request we did not record audio of what he said, but you can hear Cali's surprise and joy, as well as the reaction from surrounding boaters... For the first part of the journey, I pretended I was there to shoot a promo video for the yacht company. Post-proposal we switched over to still photos, which I'll share soon.
