Volusia county schools just announced they are closed tomorrow, Thursday expected to return but are watching for storm updates.

Some tips for being prepared

Fill your bathtub with water
Freeze jugs of waters, gallons of empty milk containers etc. If you have latex gloves fill them with water tie them up and stick them in the freezer. They will last longer than small bits of ice for your cooler or for your freezer in case you lose power to keep your food from thawing. Balloons are also a good option.
No not for drinking just for keeping ice purposes.

Go get some flash lights, an extra pack or two of batteries, head lamps, glow sticks for the kids etc.
You can also stick a glow stick into a milk jug of water for light.

Pick up some doggy pads from the store Incase you can't let your dogs out for a few hours.

Make sure you have a grill and charcoal or propane Incase there's no power for a couple days.

Never put a generator inside of a closed space like the house or inside a closed garage. I know it sounds like common sense but every hurricane we hear the new reports of some deaths because of generator misuse.

This storm isn't hitting us directly but the winds and rains will still be hurricane force.

Stay safe. Look out for your neighbors and ride it out.

ISO a young man looking for part time summer work. Someone who is used to being outdoors working in the heat, preferred like an athlete or someone along these lines. Can take direction, is strong and can lift at least 100 pounds alone. This is a on call type of job so definitely looking for a high schooler or in-between college kid, or someone who's free on weekends trying to make extra bill money. Cash paying job. If you don't have your own transportation you must live close to the holly hill/Daytona border area. An early riser and fast learner is a must.

A little job description
This is for a bounce house company. Mainly on the weekends but with summer there will be occasional weekday events. A typical set up is in the am times and pick ups are in the evenings, so the faster the morning work gets done the more of a free afternoon you'd have and come back in the evenings for pick ups.
This equipment is heavy we are talking 250-over 400 pounds however you will not be expected to lift anything on your own. Proper attire is important we provide a shirt your choice of tank or t shirt, you'll need comfortable bottoms, don't mind getting dirty, and shoes that can get wet or muddy, so boots or crocks etc.

PAY is $15 an hour paid in cash daily.
