To whomever had a bluish truck. Just got a glimmer and I did not recognize backing out of my driveway. You drove clear up by my car. I never heard you pull in or knock on my door. By the time I could make it to the front porch to see who stopped by you were gone and I am saying you were gone one of two ways fast. Concerns me so if friend please contact me so I can relax. Also no packages delivered.

FARM STAND OPENING AT NOON TODAY! Tomorrow looking for normal hours of 10:00-6:00. Look for “OPEN” sign on porch. If “ON” the stand is open whether I post or not. I need to harvest and make a few offerings to see how they do. Will do a few vased bouquets in 2 or 3 sizes and some Kraft wrapped market bouquets. I am thinking of putting out a little fresh rosemary, oregano, and sage to see if worth adding to regular inventory for next season.

Kept this out of general public but need to explain a little on no farm stand most of this year. Had been chasing down the fact that I was going down hill rapidly. It took a few months to get all tests (thanks Covid) and the last week of July first week of August was told to go home lay down and do nothing! Saw a cardiologist on 08-05 at 11:00 and was wheeled into surgery at 3:30. Must have more to accomplish I had one bad spot in my heart on my RCA which was 99% blocked. Stent fixed me up.

I am looking forward to making the most of end of this grow season and looking forward to having things back to normal next grow season. Remember however that I can take care of your flower needs year round as a regular florist. We just will not have my own flowers during winter. Look forward to hopefully see some familiar faces and new ones also welcome.😉

ATTENTION MY HOME CANNING FRIENDS. Make this go viral please! There are millions of us out there that have burned their hands tightening the lids on our jars we just put boiling water in. I was canning my green beans and was tired and did not want to go get another towel to be able to hold onto jar. Laying on another counter I spied my garden gloves I tried them figuring it might work. OMG!!!! GAME CHANGER LADIES & GENTLEMEN! Now share this!

Late posting, what a joyous day for one and all. I for one had so much fun giving a few tips, do’s & don’ts and demonstrating a little design theory doing this “Flower Bar.”
Big thanks to Martine Barnett for asking me to help welcome back her teachers & staff members with this “ Breakfast & Blooms” morning at Columbia City School. Holy you know what. That last thunder and lighting about blew our windows out, the house jumped so did I Frank was out side with our dog he said the bolt went across right over our house. I said I figured it had to be now get yourself in the house!

I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Happy Fourth of July! Here are a few of this week’s bouquets. FARM STAND WILL REMAIN CLOSED DURING THIS HEAT WAVE. AFTER I ACCESS DAMAGE THAT IS SURE TO HAPPEN I WILL POST WHEN I AM SURE I HAVE FRESH BLOOMS TO OFFER OFF FARM. HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!! Farm stand will remain closed through this heat wave. After, we will see how crops look. Flowers finally catching up, others still being planted. Hopefully when I announce open we can stay open. Be safe be out there. If you have floristry needs be sure to call and order or go on our website link to order. We just handle things a bit different during extreme heat and setting them in a non air conditioned farm stand is not one of them but we can take care of you year around! 😉🌸

Poke me, I’m done. Just finished planting the last of my 11 new hydrangea’s, 3 fig trees, my asparagus. Yes all late but done. Sun sucked however. Now I am going to take a tired hard working woman NAP!!! Just a few p***y willows, lilacs, and a couple trees and a current. Then on to everything else that needs planting. It has been a hard year thus far.

FARM STAND OPEN TODAY AND TOMORROW!!! Happy Father’s Day come grab your flower loving dad’s a bouquet.❤️. These pictures are of two Subscription bouquets that went out yesterday. I am just starting flowers now as had finish up a funeral wreath and accompaniment arrangements. I will start doing a few market bouquets and some of last peony wraps and arrangements. Followed by some vased arrangements. Stand still opening today and tomorrow at 10:00 till 6:00. Today if you wait until roughly noon your selection will be better. My best guess is peonies today and tomorrow and I will work at selling rest this week. Stand closed weekend end of 22nd. Then down time until more crops come on. Last post on peony sale. Thank you to those that stopped and shopped today sorry I missed you. I will leave open till 7:30 tonight only. This bouquet was made Friday afternoon and is now on sale for $20.00. Grab some peony packs for $15.00 and grab a couple extra stems from the already fully open buckets ( some have viable side buds) and take one salt package to hopefully make you a future salt client and farm stand regular! Definitely worth the trip only 1 block off Hwy 30 in Deer Island. Less than 5 minutes from St. Helen’s!

We had sold out and I have freshly harvested and just put these in stand. I am leaving the stand open till 7:00 tonight because I am going to be harvest anyways before rain.
