It’s called a Duck Bucket. It’s a means of making an object, traditionally a duck, appear or disappear. It’s not very common because professionally manufactured Duck Buckets go for around $500-$900. They’re the exotic cars of the magic industry. Collectors buy them and then never use them because they don’t want to scuff up their expensive toy. The one I am building is being assembled out of an old home made ice cream machine I picked up off of market place for $10. So far with the added in scraps and hardware I am adding to make it a trick my total costs is hovering right around $28. And I will be using this one in the show

Well I feel dumb. Working on a new trick today and this was my attempt at free handing this odd shape for everything to fit together. It’s close-ish but I want it to be flush. After racking my brain for a couple of hours trying to come up with ways of transferring the odd shape into the board it suddenly dawned on me that not only is there a tool that already exists that will do that, AND not only do I already own that tool, I in fact own two of them
