In December 2021, Athena Blooms began. Shortly after in February 2022, I eliminated alcohol from my life and focused on a journey to heal. I would not be half the business owner, creator, floral designer, vendor, among many other roles this business requires of me, without making that decision.
I am grateful to be present in every thoughtfully curated wedding and event and custom order that you so kindly choose me to be apart of. Thank you for making this journey worth all of me ✨🤍

When it’s winter in Colorado, and Mother Earth is resting her fields for flowers to grow, coolers filled with flowers become the next best choice to find my creative vision once again. ☺️
Winter is always a slower time over here. And each year I get a little better at appreciating the slow start before spring. I appreciate all seasons in nature and all seasons in life. Even when they’re cold.

Hi Blooms!
Mak here :) I started my flower business just over two years ago and shortly after, I realized how great of a purpose they could serve to help empower others through creativity. I knew I wanted to give this to women who’s last thought is to care for themselves with the joy of flowers because it is a luxury, not a need. So I’m making that happen as I am founding the non-profit

I’ve set intentional goals for how I plan to begin a start up business that is quite literally intended to not sustain me financially. But it’s my hearts deepest desire to do this, so I know however it’s supposed to work, it will. With that, I wanted to let you guys know I’m doing very limited events and weddings. Everything must be scheduled 3 months prior to booking for the sake of balance in all areas of life that I love :) custom orders are always welcome.

I don’t work with dried flowers as often as I used to, but the holiday season gives me that opportunity because you guys come to me for those extra special, personalized, forever type of gifts for your loved ones 🥰 and I get so excited to get back to the design style I started my business with.

For clients this year, I made a dried floral mobile, a shadow framed dried floral design, two things in which I had never done but absolutely fell in love with. What do your dried flower dreams look like?! Leave in the comments 😍

The wild, focal flower of this show is named Banksia. A wildflower native to Australia. Its quite possibly a favorite to work with, can you blame me?! I use banksia when I sense a resilient person as a client.
