CBMS is so proud to announce the 2025 Hall of Honor inductees, and for the first time ever, we have included two BANDS. We made history y’all, like we do, but the rich history of Colorado bluegrass lives in these folks and beyond.

Please give a round of applause to this year’s honorees:

Bluegrass Patriots- full band
Hot Rize- full band

We are who we are today because of those who came before us. As Sir Isaac Newton once said, “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”

💥 Big news y’all! CBMS is going to IBMA 🙌 And we want YOU to have an opportunity to go too.

❗️IMPORTANT TO DO❗️The application deadline to be an official IBMA showcase band is THIS Friday, February 28th. Apply! Being a showcase band is a big deal as you know, IBMA World of Bluegrass is the single largest bluegrass event in the country, and if you are chosen, you will have at least two opportunities to play; once in Chattanooga and once at an IBMA Bluegrass Ramble Venue. Click the link!

Additionally: CBMS plans to host a suite with late night performances highlighting CBMS Bluegrass Bands, and if you want to be considered, you MUST be a member. We are so lucky to live in a state where good bluegrass isn't hard to find, and we are excited to show the world what Colorado has to offer. More details to come on our application process, but the word is out and we're working on it. We will consider all member bands for our own personal showcase, not just those who are chosen as official showcase bands by IBMA.

(please note- all bands will be responsible for paying for their own way and their own accommodations, but the showcase will be hosted by and advertised by CBMS)

The 2025 Midwinter Bluegrass Festival has come and gone, leaving our hearts full, our tanks empty, and our community and connections more vibrant and beautiful than ever. THIS is living, and we love it. ❤️🎶 We have a lot of photos to share, and we have a few special announcements to make this week as well. To know him was to love him. Telluride Tom Heidger was a standout in the bluegrass scene, as the Mayor of Town Park had a long and beautiful reign. This man just made you feel good, plain and simple. His smile was contagious and his attitude was positive. Tom WON his battle with cancer, every single day, always in good spirits, always keeping hope and love in his heart, but in the end, it took his life. He will mourned by many, and his reach in this world can be seen in the tributes that continue to flood his page. A true LEGEND 👑 Rest easy dear friend. 🙏🏻
