Was a pleasure bringing these guys to The Rickhouse!
Every year we like to give thanks, and we'd like to make a series of posts over the next few days to recap the year.
First off, we started this year in Alan's home of the Coachella Valley for our first show on the year in Cathedral City, California at Bart Lounge in January. We appreciate this venue, and the people involved for bringing us to a region that is so sentimental to us. We hope to be back in 2025. Thank you to our family in California for taking us in: our abuelita Ercilia Barbosa, su esposo Arturo Nieto, mi tia Alejandra Gorman y su esposo Patrick, and of course our cousin Keira, who you may remember from the cover of our single, "California Song"! Shout out to for coming out to jam with us that night and to our Knoxville friends RVG for coming all the way out to play in California, although it was a crazy night after the show! Ask us all about it sometime and it's a fun one to tell!
On our way back home on that January trip, we stopped in Denver, Colorado at Herman's Hideaway and Pueblo, Colorado at Blo Back Gallery. Much love to CR23 Bombshelter and the Rheuff family, who have always taken such care of us since we met them. We were back there this month of November and, as always, they treated us as though Pueblo was our hometown. We're very grateful for Pueblo and those who've shown us such love through these recent years, including Jesse Hed from The Ragetones, all the guys from Velociriffer, and all the other bands we've ever jammed with there, as well as those who've come to show us such appreciate and gratitude. In January we also shared the stage in Pueblo with Panpsychism and in November honeybunches Of DEATH and Karmic Harvest! Much love and thanks to you all! Also shout out to Eyeworm Photography - we still owe you another shoot!
But we've said plenty about Pueblo in a previous post as well - we'd love to show some love for Denver. First of all, shout out to our cousin Ashley Bushey, who we always love to visit in Denver! Thanks so much to the people at Herman's for treating us so well at the beginning of the year. Die Like Bothans was great and very nice to us. Thank you for the tuner you gave us too! And shout out to Roma Ransom who were amazing as well! This past month in Denver was excellent, thanks to Marcos Gonzales aka GoneZo The Promoter for bringing us to The Rickhouse! Thanks to Marcos and everyone else we met there who were so welcoming to us. And shout out to the bands we met and shared the stage with there as well: Condemned to Burn and Tarnage! We hope to share the stage with all of you again someday soon!
Much love to California and Colorado.
This family band is thankful for you.
