Statement anthuriums are making a huge statement this season and I am SO into it! Great for a color and texture contrast.

If you told baby wedding planner me that one day I would specialize in dark and moody design AND that I love anthuriums I would think you were absolutely insane. I never thought I’d get past blush pink uplights and white cascading flowers but here we are, and I’m LOVING it!

This time of year often leaves us reflecting on everything that we are grateful for. Our family, our friends, our job, our pets, the list goes on and on. Inclusive of all of those things, I'm eternally thankful for my lifelong partner in crime, the supporter of my crazy schemes, Golden Hour Event's employee of the month 8 consecutive times (and counting), the most amazing Wedding Assistant I've ever had, and above all my best friend. We did this thing together, and I thank my lucky stars that we did every single day ♥️

✨MEET THE OWNER✨

We’ve had some new friends around here lately, so I figured it might be about time to re-introduce myself!

My name is Aemilia (Amelia but spelled differently…thanks Dad) and I am the Owner and Founder of Golden Hour Events ♥️

While Golden Hour Events is still kinda new to the scene, I am coming up on my EIGHTH year in the wedding industry! It’s really hard to believe that it’s been that long, and what a wild ride it has been. Together we’ve survived the blush pink era, so many late night wedding cake debrief sessions, countless near misses, and of course a whole pandemic 😂

I just love weddings with my whole heart, but if I had to tell you about myself minus weddings, I would say:
-My Husband and I moved to Colorado about a year ago. He’s a Kansas native and I’m originally from Texas, but we really love it here! We’re coming up on our first wedding anniversary in September 😊
-We have a 5 year old Husky/Chow mix named Rosie, and she is quite the spitfire. Her energy is just so funny! If you’re one of my brides, there’s a 100% chance you’ve seen or heard her in the background of a zoom call.
-Not that it’d be difficult to figure out, but I am a Libra girlie. That’s what gives me the special touch to make every wedding just as perfect as possible 😉
-In my free time, I love caring for plants both indoor and outdoor, forcing my husband to go camping, reading, and learning new crafts. Next up will be embroidery, mark my words!
-My Christmas decorations go up on November 1st, sue me 😂

As this wedding season begins to wind down, I am just so excited to see what 2025 holds! Thank you for supporting my dream 🥹
