Sometimes conjuring your dream wedding is HARD. I'll tell you, friend, I'm having a hard time imagining what my wedding day will look like with my sweet fiance. What details and feelings stand out to us the most? We thought we were going to have a large, more traditional wedding with all of our friends and family... but once we (he 😉) realized we were looking at a starting price of $15k, we're asking ourselves, "Why do we feel the urge to spend this much money on one day?". I have nothing against traditional celebrations - if you can't imagine starting your married life without all of the people you hold dear- I implore you to do the big wedding. Achieve those wedding dreams, babe!
But for us... we're trying to be more intentional with our finances bc we want to celebrate in a way that's still true to us, but also have the money to buy a home in a year or two.

Hire your dream team and complete it with a planner- I promise you it is the best decision you'll ever make for your wedding. You'll get to enjoy every second of the day, instead of thinking about x,y,z things needing to be done. ✌️😘

This weekend went by way too quickly! I worked with Blake & Nicole for just over a year to plan their wedding . I am truly so grateful for every couple that books with me. To have you place your trust in me, that we can work together to achieve your wedding dreams... this is something that I just can't put into words- it's an incredible feeling. It makes me smile as big as Blake is smiling here 😁

Thank you both for your friendship as we continue on this journey we call life. ✨️

That "just engaged feeling" ✨️💍❤️

Brandon proposed in Waterworks Park, at the fireplaces in the southern end. Despite the wet and cold weather, it was the prettiest "picnic" I've ever been to. Sometimes plans don't turn out the way you want them to... but I've got you babe (and Jimmy John's 😆).

Cheers to 2023! 🥂✨️

I did not expect 2022 to turn out the way it did... I left my full-time catering job to pursue wedding planning as part of a team- but sometimes things change, and that's okay! I went solo and created my business in order to keep working with clients who had already signed contracts (and man oh man!)- what a wild ride! 🙌 And then on top of that, on top of figuring out how to run a business and be a ceo + how to market a business without any prior experience... a friend of mine asks me to join her team in Iowa's only all Gluten free/Vegan bakery . They say when a door closes, a window opens- I am starting to love those wild opportunities. I feel blessed to be able to chase after my dreams and to also be a part of a great team and endeavor, doing something I enjoy, something unique, something I can keep learning within... I'm blown away at how life is turning out. It's just too cool.

More details to come as I figure out exactly how I want to run this company-- but Fable & Fleur Events will be shifting to focus on intimate weddings and elopements! I do have large weddings on the books and I do enjoy them, but I will be marketing towards smaller affairs, as they fill my cup and my soul up to the brim. I truly love intimate weddings (50-75 guest weddings) and how you will spend the first night of your married life with the ones closest to you, who love you and will support you. That is what a wedding should be. No traditions enacted because of a pressure from society or social media. It's an event with your love ultra-concentrated. ❤️ I can't imagine anything better.
