The biggest blessing isn't the food, it's the people sitting at your table! This year my family chose not to do a thanksgiving dinner! It is particularly difficult for us. This day last year we had a family thanksgiving dinner as usual. it was busy and chaotic as always, with my home filled with my family. My Uncle Roger died the next day. Thanksgiving last year the last day we all saw him alive. I remember how I spent Thanksgiving day so focused on setting the tables, clearing the plates, wrapping leftovers to go, and all the thanksgiving hustle that I barely took a moment to say hello to him. I was so busy I never stopped to say goodbye before he left! I was so focused on the dinner, that I took for granted the people I had there that day! Take a moment and remind yourself to be thankful for the people sitting at your dinner table because you never know who might be missing from your table one day.
RIP and Allahyirhamu to my uncle, Roger we miss you!

After the hustle of Thanksgiving it's time to get together with the ladies and relax! Ladies night at Dellah is this Friday from 6:00-10:00pm.

Often when I do my own henna I stop to decide is it done?? How big should I go? I can always just add a little more! But then I don't know when to stop! I get carried away filling all the space till it's the point if no return! That is this design! So tell me!

Jagua is very different than henna. Jagua comes from the Genipa Fruit and can also stain skin just like henna can. The color of Jagua is a very dark blue that looks almost black. It is not black henna! I do not use black henna because that can burn your skin! Here is a cute photo of a Jagua tattoo.

In my family, it is traditional for a bride and groom to get a heart in henna with the initial of the partner on the palm. My twist on this tradition is to make the heart as two halves that come together! I did their outer hand so they could enjoy the party with less chance of smudges. Inner palms are harder to keep open flat.

Do u watch Bridgerton? My sister's and I thought it would be fun to match for our cousins wedding in some flower embroidered dresses. We got really excited when we noticed we were giving Bridgerton vibes. It's a show we all watch and love! It was during dinnertime that we laughed realizing we were actually the featherington sisters. 🤣

Sound on! My heat melted yesterday! When I invited my friend Aneesa to CreatorCon I hoped she would be able to benefit from networking with others. I had a quick moment to record the room for content, when I accidentally captured this! Aneesa has the opportunity to s
Interact with the crowd!! But she didn't use that moment for herself, she quickly took her opportunity on the mic to shout me out to the room! The quick shout-out sent several more customers my way!

Tonight someone threw an egg at my head as I stood at the entrance of the peace park wearing a kuffiyeh on my head! I don't know if it was a hate crime directed at me for wearing kuffiyeh, or a harmless prank for Halloween by a bunch of kids! But this display was a reminder that an egg on my head is nothing to cry about! For in Gaza they have far worse fall in them! Tonight many people celebrated Halloween but for people in Gaza this is what the horror of every day looks like! This display set up in the Peace park in West Dearborn was extremely emotional for me to walk through! At the end there was short film that showed the horrors of the Genocide in Gaza. There was also the powerful reminder than even in Dearborn where support for Palestine is strong, we still have a lot of work to do!.
