My Story

I fell in love with photography at a young age. Of all the things our family owned, my mother cared about her photos the most. More than my grandmother’s antiques or anything of monetary value. They were irreplaceable.

Needless to say, when I received my first camera (a plastic Nickelodeon slime camera that developed 4 images per 4x6), I was beyond ecstatic. I took pictures of everyone and everything . Except myself. That has never been my thing. I live on the opposite side of the camera and I like it that way.

Fast-forward, 20 something years later and my love for photography has only grown. As a part-time student, military wife and mother of 3, life often gets in the way but those snapshots will never change.

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” – Aaron Siskind
