Wow... Our first Valentine’s Day at Dreams of Jasmine is officially in the books, and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the early mornings to the late-night prep, from the steady flow of orders to the absolute chaos of last-minute bouquets - I loved every second of it!

But the real magic came from you! This community showed up in the best way, ordering flowers, spreading the word, and supporting this little dream of mine. Starting a business is no joke, but having this kind of love and encouragement makes all the hard work so worth it.

Thank you, Dothan!! What an absolute honor!

I chose this piece titled "The Harmony of the Spheres" because it reminded me of my son and his deep connection to Carl Sagan’s The Pale Blue Dot. That text has always been meaningful to him, offering a profound perspective on Earth’s place in the vastness of the cosmos.

When I saw this piece, it immediately resonated with me because it captures the same sense of awe and interconnectedness that Sagan’s words inspire. For me, this was a way to honor my son’s love of space science and expand on the idea of our fragile yet extraordinary "pale blue dot." This artwork felt like the perfect representation of something that holds so much meaning for both of us.

This weekend, Dreams of Jasmine had the honor of being showcased in the Wiregrass Museum of Art's Art in Bloom Event, an annual event where 12 artists are selected to create a floral arrangement inspired by a piece of art displayed in the museum. Shown here is Matthew Fisher's The Harmony of the Spheres and the floral piece it inspired.
