It is truly amazing how beautiful and amazing a storm is in even the dark.... And when you go to edit it you see it for the beast it really is. And yet it is still beautiful.

Last night there was a ton of lightning, but all the bolts were behind the clouds with the exception of a couple I missed because I moved the camera two shots before it descended from the heavens.

Originally, I was headed to an undisclosed location in Bushnell, but I waited until it was too late and the storm was too close. So I made my way to my friend's hanger.

As the storm was getting closer, I began to see the horizontal lines in the clouds and knew it was taking shape to be a shelf cloud. I guess where I was parked was the part that kinda got iffy once I went back and edited what I was looking at. See photo 2... Probably should pay more attention to the radar when I am out like this ;-)

Somewhere I feel like there is a sermon in all this.... I have blogged before about finding the beauty after the storm. Last night and today, I have realized there is beauty when you are sitting right dab in the middle of the storm. You can't see what is around you at the time, but you know it will pass eventually.
