With safety as our top priority, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Winter Blast event scheduled for today, February 14 and tomorrow, February 15. The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather alert concerning our county and all surrounding counties near camp. Today's weather looks great, and we were so excited about having snow at camp for sledding; however the predicted road conditions for all day tomorrow are icy and treacherous. This was not an easy call to make, but ultimately the safety of our campers and families is our top priority.

At this time, we are not rescheduling this event. However, you have two options for how to handle the payment you have already made:

1. Please contact our registrar ([email protected]) and apply your Winter Blast payment toward any summer camp. See camp options: https://graceoutside.org/summer-camps/

2. Or contact our registrar for a full refund.

We are sad to not see the children, youth, and volunteer this weekend, but we wish you a warm and safe weekend. We hope to see all your campers in the warmer months at camp!

Our Winter Blast starts Friday night. We are looking for some volunteers to come help Thursday or Friday to clear paths from snow and ice. If you have a Snow Shovel or Ice Javelin for chipping ice or a Snow Blower come on over to help get ready.

We also have some cleaning to finish inside if you or a crew want to do a little dusting and shining. Send Erik or Allison a message through this site or a DM us if you can come and help.

Sorry for the long post, but in these last few days of 2024, we're asking you to consider a gift to Wesley Woods, a holy place where lives are changed at Summer Camp and year-round retreats. GRACE Outside destinations offer: God’s Love, Rest, Adventure, Community and Empowerment. WIth your support, campers and guests grow closer to God and gain confidence that empowers their daily lives.
Yet, to operate Wesley Woods we only have two sources of income: fees and donations. The fees we charge for Summer Camp and events do not fully cover expenses because we seek to keep things affordable for everyone. The Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church has not provided direct financial support in over three years.
Would you consider how you can help continue these powerful experiences? Our goal for this year-end appeal is to raise $10,000. We’ve already received gifts and pledges of $2,500. Would you make a financial gift to continue serving children, youth, adults and families with GRACE?
