Become a Sustaining Member: Ongoing, monthly gifts will help us keep pace with rising costs, keep fees reasonable, maintain quality facilities and programs and close the funding gap from funds that formerly came from the Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church. November 19: we are thankful for those groups that come in retreat at Wesley Woods Camp. This camp is a place for quiet, peace and a place to enjoy the outdoors. Last week, we hosted the Michigan State University Wesley Foundation Board.

November 16: We are Thankful for the Outdoor Chapel, so that we can gather as a group and sing our praises! Firebowl is the most memorable experience a camp has of Wesley Woods Camp. This is treasured spot at camp.

Today(and everyday) we are thankful for our volunteers that come and get camp ready and close it down for winter. This year we had some campers come and help! It was a beautiful day to clean cabins and prep for our retreat season. Jackson First UMC and Coldwater UMC camp to help this past Saturday.

November 7: We are thankful to be able to host youth groups. The sound of everyone laughing and singing brings back the sweet sound of summer!

Nomads! It has been a few weeks since our Nomad group left but they definitely left an impression. A mighty team of 5 made it work here in the Woods. Thank you Gene for stepping up to lead because without that leadership we were going to have our time cancelled. But we had a great team for 3 weeks and some of the hottest days all summer too. They rose to completet a long list of needed projects. We have a shoe room in the chapel, leveled cement side stairs and fixed siding. They fixed up a lot of features around the main lodge and stained our deck to the retreat center. Thank you again for your time and service to the camping ministry; and understanding the importance to have camps. From everyone that is a part of Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat, thank you!
The last group outing with interns and staff was a fun Lugnuts game in Lansing, Michigan. We are so grateful for the interns and staff that pushed hard this summer to make it a successful 2023 camp season. As most of the interns have gone back to school we wish them luck as they continue to grow and discover themselves and how God is working in them.
We swam with a shark at family camp. The pool was so refreshing in this heat! Thank you to the families that came to chill with us in The Woods this past holiday weekend!
