THE COOLEST GROOM, Top Tips!

I would have to say that I had fantastic grooms who would plan the whole wedding with me without having the bride being directly involved with me. However, this is not common and lands some grooms in the doghouse.

Things NOT to do: During Meeting & Greeting couples, while discussing details with the bride, the groom tunes completely out, this is funny to me, however not for the bride to be.
A happy bride, is a happy girl/woman on their wedding day/night;)

1. Show Interest, give your input.

After-all it's your wedding too, right?
Pick some things that you would like to be involved in, e.g arranging the plane tickets, choosing your accommodations, Food & Beverage (if you are having a reception) maybe videography/photography, discuss this together and come to a decision together.


2.Take some stress off of her.

If you are planning a Destination wedding and no wedding party/guests are involved, it should be a breeze.
Help her choose the best wedding specialist to make your day as stress-free as possible. You can do this after receiving information about his/her services.
She will feel your support and not feel overwhelmed, in the process you will be up to date with your special day as well.


3.Arrange your attire

For A Destination Wedding this should be easy, many grooms choose a white linen shirt and pants or a Tommy Bahama tropical shirt. If you have groomsmen, coordinate with them what you are going to wear, if you are buying the attire make sure you coordinate it so that, either they will get it before you leave, or you bring them with you and distribute them when you arrive at your wedding destination.
Keep her up to date by email or having quick meetings when you come together.

4.Score Bonus Points

Make her feel special on the day of the wedding, send her a note with flowers while she is getting ready.
With technology leading in our time, you can send her a small video made with your phone, telling her how lucky you are.

Don't forget to STOP and smell the Roses during the planning of your wedding day. Take it all in to cherish the memories of each moment. After all...the days, weeks, and months of planning are leading to one of the most important days of your lives.

Don't allow the stress or pressures of planning your dream day become a disaster before you can even get down the altar. Of course there are the natural "pressures" of planning, but decide ON PURPOSE beforehand to NOT react in an offensive manner to your soon-to-be bride or groom. Treat your "love" the way you would want to be treated under such challenges, you will find a little "tenderness" goes a long way. The appreciation will not go unnoticed, and perhaps build an even deeper bond because of your patience and understanding.

It is essential to stay connected even during the most challenging days of planning. Take a moment to cherish and nurture your relationship as you would have before the busy hectic days of planning. Sometimes it is the "little things" that make a difference, and everyone HAPPY.
