Late post but this weekend Tia Couch competed in the all women’s Bi***es of BBQ rib cook it was a hot one out there she had a good cook just not quite the results she wanted but that will get there. I had those lady set up to stay as cool as possible. Congrats to all that got there names called and to Sonya on her big win . Dad did a local back yard rib comp this weekend and you can’t get any more traditional than a block pit. Finished them off with my new BBQ rub and that sweet bbq sauce. Cooked over B&B Charcoal even on a cold Windy day it kept the pit at temp and helped him walk with a 3rd place finish

Man what a weekend we stayed local and competed at the Atoka BBQ Fest in the whole hog and ribs categories and the team really came together and pulled off a double finals in whole hog and ribs. The homemade hog cooker ran flawless for the whole cook and turned out what we think as the best hog we have cooked to date. Not only was this are first time having to do an onsite finals judging we had to do it twice. And we it was all said and done we finished 2nd in whole hog and 2nd in ribs . Also had a 2nd place in beans. Then we won best overall local team. Thank you to all who came out to help us this weekend and for the help/advice. Also thanks to the other teams that offered us stuff to use during finals that we didn’t have and offering help with what we needed.

There are a few people that I’m not gonna name but thank yall for all the help / advice and support with whole hog.

Lastly thank you to these grate products that got us there.
