When you book an event here at The Tasting Room, it's really a one stop shop.
The MidCoast Catering menus are a great starting point for all of your event's culinary needs but we are more than happy to go off script too.
Creating custom menus is one of our most favorite challenges and we love it when our clients bring us something fun and new!
Venue, check! Food, check! Drinks, check! Dessert, check! Music, check! And we even have a projector if you need it so screenings/presentations, check!

What do we do?
In lieu of being a full service off-site caterer (MidCoast Catering Co.), we now have an on-site option for you with The Tasting Room!
Located in the heart of West Duluth on Central Ave. with a modest capacity of 42, we would be happy to host any elopement, groom's dinner, baby/bridal shower, engagement party, birthday party, anniversary, lunch meetings, brunches, or just a random Tuesday afternoon hoopla!
We will take care of the food with all our delicious options from the MidCoast kitchen right next door.
We've got the bar covered, beer, wine, n/a options, full bar, custom specialty cocktails, basically whatever you want!

Who are we?
Our story begins with our chef/owner Jonathan Reznick (left) back in July 2012 when he opened The Rambler Food Truck.
Having worked at Savories and Nokomis in and around the Duluth area, he knew that this was the industry for him.
With business' natural evolution into more traditional catering, MidCoast Catering Co. began in 2017 and he needed some more hands so he hired on Kris Werbelow (center) in April 2017 as kitchen manager and Kelsey Auran (right) as office manager & event coordinator in December of 2017.
Now, with The Tasting Room, we combine our years of culinary, service, and event experience to bring you the best we have to offer!
Alongside us and the rest of our highly curated team, you and your event are in good hands.

Who – Chef Jonathan Reznick, the owner/operator of The Rambler Food Truck and MidCoast Catering Co. and our incredible team.
What – we are a private event space available to rent for groom's dinners, elopements, birthday parties, anniversaries, business meetings, and so much more!
When – The Rambler Food Truck est. July 2012, MidCoast Catering Co. est. December 2017, The Tasting Room est. October 2024.
Where – 313 N Central Ave., Duluth, MN 55807
Why – we've been in the event business for a long time in many different ways starting with the food truck and continuing in a much bigger way through MidCoast Catering Co., our own private event space seemed like the next logical step. And while it may be small and humble, it is mighty!

Introducing – The Tasting Room at MidCoast
A small event space located just next door to our commercial kitchen in West Duluth, our doors are now open and we are ready for you!
Thank you to all who joined us for our grand opening party on Saturday, we would say it was quite a success.
Special thanks to the following folks for making this day great:

for the sound, stage, & their expertise
for helping us capture this wonderful evening
