I went for a walk this week with this lovely lady and her two dogs. She shared her story with me. She had lost so much over the last year and is completely rebuilding from an abusive marriage.

That being said, if anyone knows of a rental in our area or even Chattanooga that is all-inclusive or at least close, has room for her pups to run around safely, a fence or pen or the option to put a pen in would be ideal!! It can be a tiny home! Budget $1k or less including utilities. Please reach out.

I also shared a bit of my story with her. She stopped me and asked, “how can you carry on with a smile with all that you have on you?” My immediate response was, “I love my life.”

Upon reflection, it’s so much deeper than that. I’m working on building several dreams at once, dreams that I’ve had since childhood. I was under no misconception that it would be easy to get there. I smile because I’m holding it. Even when I’m in tears and don’t know if I can go one step more. I’m holding it. I love my family. I love this business we’re building, and all the sweet faces that come through the door every week, even the new ones. You all are helping me build this crazy dream. Genuinely, and with all my heart, thank you.

In December, I’ll be graduating from RN school and I will go back to working in a field where I can help people on a deeper level. I’ve missed that. Those of you who knew me in a clinical setting know that job meant a lot to me. We will still be here to entertain you and deal out those hugs every week and I’ll have one more part of those dreams I’ve been chasing completed.
