K+C had tiny wedding dreams in big beautiful places 🏔️

Including everything that had meaning to them, and tossing out the rest.

With their intimate ceremony & first dance in the mountains, mid-day charcuterie snacks, and newlywed jeep adventure taking up the first half of their time together - They wanted a relaxed evening over a delicious meal to end their day. Allowing family to share meaningful words, indulging in their favorite dessert and enjoying cozy conversations by the fire.

Two weeks ago we celebrated two very special people in one of the prettiest spots in the San Juans.
Two weeks ago I had the honor of officiating this ceremony.
Two weeks ago we witnessed our dearest marry her best friend and love of her life!

The happiness, love and excitement echoed from the basin walls. It was an intimate yet monumental moment in these mountains..one that we’ll never forget!

The sweetest cocktail party reception to ever grace downtown Durango ✨

A+M embraced every bit of Durango including its laid back mountain town atmosphere.
Live music filled the block, guests enjoyed endless food and libations and the dance party in the rain was the quintessential ending to this mountain town celebration!

Oh hello, you adorable backyard wedding you ✨🤍

With the white canopy tent contrasting so perfectly against the red cliffs, the trickling sounds of the nearby streams, and the groves of fruit trees surrounding their dance floor under the stars.. it was truly a fairytale setting for this intimate mountain wedding!

When A + R first came to me with plans of hosting their large celebration in this beautiful location, I was beyond excited to make this dirt lot come to life! && when they told me less frills and more fun.. like having a pie potluck for dessert, incorporating their love for birds as much as possible or having crocs be the mandatory dress code for the dance party I was stoked to include such true-to-them details!

These two were wholeheartedly true to themselves in every bit of their wedding, and because of that it was quite literally a party to remember! 🪩

Thank you guys for reminding us that a wedding celebration is simply an insight into who you two are as people and the life you plan to share together; no amount of flowers or candles or stuffy wedding traditions can change that. ✨

Have you ever thought about all the little moments on your wedding day?

I’m not talking about the obvious moments like the first time you see eachother or the momentous kiss after you say ‘I Do’..

I’m talking about the little things like the hug you share after you’ve walked off the aisle and you’re hidden from sight. The hand squeeze you’ll share before you enter your reception together, or the look you give each other when your FIL cracks a joke during his speech. The forehead kiss during your first dance and the thumb swipe on your bottom lip after you’ve fed eachother cake… those moments ✨

Oh how special your wedding day will be, filled with so many big moments and even more small ones.

Last June we were given a sunny Silverton day to celebrate J+C! They had a romantic first look outside of town, a gorgeous ceremony in the park and an intimate outdoor reception

Weeks before the wedding though, J experienced an ankle injury that would leave her in a boot and crutches on her wedding day… The news was crushing but she knew she had to make the most of it.
After a bit of searching, we found a knee crutch that allowed her to walk down the aisle and take photos without crutches! Not ideal (or comfortable) but J was a trooper and quite honestly you can’t even tell she had it on! 🤘🏼

Seeing J’s positive attitude and C’s unwavering support on this special day, made it undeniably obvious these two are a great team!

AND watching the bride’s besties run out on the dance floor with pirate props and eye patches showed just how amazing their support circle was 👏🏼making light of the situation and having a blast celebrating their day NO MATTER WHAT!

Thanks J+C for being an inspiration and reminding us all what truly matters on your special day!
