How do you know what your true passion is? I found out today.

I haven't had as much time as I'd like to work on my new coaching project. So much is in place, but there are digital projects to work on, email transcripts to load, advertising to generate and podcasts to produce...it just takes a lot of time. So I usually keep tabs open on my desktop and grab a few minutes here and there to edit, add or delete things.

And today, when I accidently opened a tab with a recent project opened and visible, I caught myself with a gasp. 😯 It was like an "oh...there's your heart" kind of gasp. (I'm choking up now while I'm typing. 🥺) The enemy knows the calling and throws any little fire in front of me to prevent the mission from going forward...and the way I know it's my mission...is the gasp.

The hardest part of abuse (at least in my case) was the bitterness that came after the abuse ended. I was not only angry and hated my abuser, but I was none too happy with my Lord and Savior. I mean...why did He allow it to happen? Where was He? If He loved me, how could He not protect me from my abuser?

In response to those complaining about tax increases predicted in an article in the Marion County Record:

I have recently become a bit more seriously involved with county leadership. I know for a fact that they are not happy to see increases like this. They own property in the county just like I do. But the cost of everything has gone up…the gas needed to transfer refuse from the transfer station, the cost of paper products, office supplies, postage, utilities used at the courthouse, EMS buildings, fire houses, health department…what about the benefits provided to county workers? C’mon…you name it, everything cost more. Don’t have the audacity to blame LOCAL government for this. Don’t like it? Get off your duff and participate in the process…be informed, go to commission meetings, learn about the process of making the budget function for everyone in the county, and by all means… VOTE!
