The Nativity - meet the Artist
We were happy that Sadie Allen of Dancing Heifer Art agreed to the challenge of painting the Nativity figures, and she knocked it out of the park! The detail is amazing! She put a lot of thought into each piece, and it shows. We are fortunate to have this Nativity scene that will be a part of Christmas in Dushore for years to come. Thank you, Sadie, for making this so special, and we appreciate all of your hard work!

The Nativity - meet the Designer
Several months ago we were introduced to Andrew Styer. We had some very general ideas of what we wanted to accomplish, and he took it and ran with it. He collaborated with Cat Badger via email early on, and a plan was developed. From some sheets of plywood he designed the family and wise men, cut them out, and built sturdy braces so that they wouldn't blow over. His wife, Hiliary Styer, was in charge of sanding and putty. All of this was done in a very short period of time, and while they were in the process of buying a local business that is now known as Styer Customs. We can't thank you enough for the amazing work you did, and we are so pleased to have you as part of our business community!

A Cookie Decorating Station will be hosted by Rocky Forest Real Estate on Saturday from noon until 3:00. Cookies will be ready for you to decorate and take with you. Get creative!

The Sullivan County Library will be a beehive of activity! Book sales, an art display, holiday treats, craft projects, and the Story Walk kicks off here. There's a lot going on, so be sure you don't miss out on the fun!

CALLING ALL FASHIONISTAS! Have an ugly sweater? Put it on yourself, your spouse, your child, your pet, and c'mon on down to Pealer Hall on Saturday at 1:00 for the Ugly Sweater contest! It's a great laugh and a lot of fun. Contestants in the past have included people, dogs and even a pig. You never know what you might see there!

A long, long, long time ago, the Dushore Lions Club started their Breakfast with Santa. Originally held at the Dushore Hotel, it then moved to Pam's Restaurant. This event is the hallmark of the entire Christmas in Dushore day! Kids that attended in the early days are grown and now bring their families. A big shout out to the Pam's Restaurant crew that make it happen every year, and to the Dushore Lions Club for sponsoring it!

Fire up your ovens! It's almost time for the annual Cookie Walk. If you have a favorite cookie recipe, we'd love for you to make a batch and share it with us. Cookies can be dropped off the morning of the event, or before at Highland Realty on Center Street. Always our sweetest event, there's sure to be something for everyone.

The Make it/Take it Gingerbread House Event is always a popular stop! All gingerbread house kits/supplies are free, as well as refreshments. Be sure to check it out from 9:00 to 1:00 on Saturday!
