Wedding Stories for Adventurous Lovers

The past nine months have been a season of focus, growing the studio while making the most of every moment with my wife and kids. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been meaningful. I’m grateful for the people walking with me in this work and for the chance to build something that lasts. Good things take time, and I’m learning to embrace that.

Recently, I had the chance to visit Cuba with a few friends—a country I’ve wanted to experience since I was a teenager. I’ve always been fascinated by its culture, history, and resilience.

Spending a week with the locals gave me a whole new perspective on life. Despite the economic hardships and the country’s isolation from much of the world, the Cuban people live with an undeniable joy. Their ability to embrace life, no matter the circumstances, was something I couldn’t ignore.

It made me appreciate the freedom and opportunities we often take for granted in the U.S. Having been born in the Soviet Union and now raising my family in a place full of possibilities, I’m humbled and grateful. Yet, it’s also a reminder that so many people—despite having every opportunity—still feel unfulfilled.

Cuba taught me that life is about perspective. Even when the world limits you, your mindset determines how far you go.

This photo takes me back to where it all started. I remember when I got my very first camera at 14 years old. It was for a trip to Ukraine—a place filled with deep roots for my family, where my parents and I were born. The excitement I felt when we arrived is something I’ll never forget. I photographed everything: the food we ate on the train, the landscapes, and portraits of my grandfather. By the end of the trip, I had captured a full archive of memories.

But on the way back to the States, I misplaced the SD card and never found it again. It absolutely crushed me. I held onto hope for years that it might turn up, but it never did. That experience taught me a powerful lesson: guard your memories like they’re priceless, because they are. You can’t be too careful when it comes to preserving the moments that matter.

Now, as someone who works with photos and videos every day, this lesson has shaped everything I do. Every project I work on is more than just visuals—it’s about ensuring that those moments are captured and protected forever.

So ya, if you do find a Kodak SD card in the wild, it might be mine.

After 13 incredible years of capturing weddings, meeting amazing couples, and shooting in some breathtaking places, I’ve decided to close this chapter. This isn’t about burnout or anything negative—it’s actually the opposite. One day, I just woke up feeling completely fulfilled by this journey. Weddings have given me so much joy, and I realized I was ready to take my skills in a new direction.

For the past year, I’ve been pouring my energy into a production and digital marketing company that a friend and I started. It’s been an unbelievable experience that’s reignited my passion for the craft. So, I’ve decided to rebrand Radion Photography under my name and shift my focus entirely to this new venture. This page will still be all me—just with a fresh perspective.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey, especially my amazing wife Mera, who’s been my rock through all of it. It’s bittersweet to build something up and let it go, but I’m excited for this next chapter. To everyone who trusted me with your memories, you’ll always have a place in my heart.
