Hugh Moore Park to Host the First Annual Now Here This Festival
Celebrate the end of summer with an evening of music, food and unique entertainment at a gorgeous location practically in your backyard! Announcing the First Annual Now Here This Festival in Hugh Moore Park in the City of Easton, PA on Saturday August 30, 2014. This event will feature
food vendors Blue Sky at the State Café and Full of Crepe and beer vendor Black and Blue. with The Unholy Side Show, a wandering side show act. The Unholy Sideshow is unlike any experience you have ever had. See feats of human ability and endurance that are almost unfathomable and even more entertaining. This is not a show to be missed! Witness the Reverend First Minister "pain proof man" as he tortures himself without spilling a drop of blood! Davey Danger, escapologist and human spider. Swoon at the mind boggling abilities of Miss Catalina Askew, the burlesquing, human dartboard. And try not to hide your eyes when daredevil Jay Sin Aces takes the stage! Next up is Hall and Oats tribute band, HmfO. This tribute to the best-selling duo of all time is a real treat. There is no one better than Pennsylvania’s own, HmfO, to bring the music of Hall and Oates music back to the masses. Expect both accurate representations of the band's material as well as deep explorations into the far reaches of space and back... possibly a mustache or two. Start Making Sense, the Talking Heads Tribute, follows with their indomitable take on this classic band. If David Byrne is one of the geniuses of modern times, then Start Making Sense is a tribute to genius. The musicians in this tribute take pride in faithfully recreating the music of Talking Heads entire career. Together they bring much of the Heads unique live show to the stage, with front man Jon Braun as a spot-on David Byrne, giving you a "once in a lifetime" experience. Prepare yourself for a rockin', funkin', danceable celebration of the new-wave art punk you loved from the 80's!!! Rounding out the evening is Carbonless, a duo formed of DJ Discreet and Selectronics, at 9 p.m. The duo will be blending and mixing soul driven breakbeat, trip hop, reggae, styles of house, jazz, funk, rock, blues, jungle, glitch, hip hop, classical, trap, with a truly unique visual and light show that can’t be missed.
