The pavilion’s quiet.
The baskets are coming out.
And we’re officially shifting into “waiting for snow” mode at WoodWind Park. 🌲

Today is the last day for disc golf this season – we’ll be pulling baskets and getting the hills ready for tubing. Thank you to everyone who came to our random draw doubles league, competed in tournaments, and discovered the course this year. 💚

We’re not totally going into hibernation, though:

The park is still open for walking + hiking by appointment only.

The pavilion is THIS close to being finished

As soon as we’ve got enough snow, the tubing hill opens

For now, we’re in that cozy in-between… tools clinking in the pavilion, hills turning brown, and everyone quietly rooting for the first real snowfall.

This weekend at WoodWind is shaping up to be one of those easy, neighborly days we look forward to all fall.

The pavilion will be open with hot paninis on sourdough, chili dogs, and nachos, plus orange cocktails if you’re sticking around for the music.

is taking pre-orders now, so get those in ahead of time — and consider grabbing extra bread for Thanksgiving week while you’re at it. It’s one less thing to think about when the house fills up.

We’ll have a scavenger hunt with prizes, a stocked gift shop for early holiday shopping, and a “Hot Doe Club” photo spot that’s worth a laugh when you see it in person.

Live music by the Up South Band, a warm fire, good people… it’s a simple day at the Park, and we’d love to have you swing through.

Playing at The Park means training pigeons today. This was their “jump” release from a 4-mile flight to 12.5. By next spring they’ll be ready to race about 270 miles from their launch spot in Iowa. The Park will be a landmark to help them know they’re almost home. Super cool!

Alright disc golfers — this is it. One last weekend to hit the course before we pull baskets for winter on Monday. 🌲⛓️

The weather’s looking perfect — crisp air, sunshine, and probably the warmest it’ll be for a while. So grab your bag, call your doubles partner, and get one more round in before the snow flies.

It’s been an awesome season watching this course come to life and seeing so many of you make it your go-to spot. We’re already working on some big things for next year… new ideas, new layouts, and a whole lot more fun.

When Meagan and Paul first walked into what’s now WoodWind Park, it felt like stepping back in time. The place still carried the spirit of Deepwood — from a Mickey Mouse phone that somehow still worked (yes, Pudge tested it 😂), to a weathered old piano, vintage ski signs, and a room full of stories waiting to be told.

It wasn’t perfect. It was dusty, quiet, and full of memories. But even then, it was easy to see what it could be.

Fast forward to today — the Chalet is slowly coming to life, piece by piece. The echoes of the past are still here, they just sound a little different now — laughter, music, and the start of something new.

We’re still in progress, still dreaming… and maybe one day, those ski hills will come alive again. ❄️

From an overgrown forest to a place that feels like home 🧡 This old shot of the hill and the shed takes us way back — before the trees filled in, before the laughter echoed down the tubing run, before the memories piled up.

It’s wild looking back and seeing how far we’ve come — thanks to every single person who’s played a part in this story.

We’ll be sharing more of our story in the weeks ahead — from the first shovel in the ground to the moments that made us who we are. Stay tuned for the next chapter. 🍃
