Good Evening Everyone! Long Post Incoming...
I want to address a few of the concerns that have been being posed, by shoppers. Our last show DID NOT go as planned. That being said, we have made adjustments and are on track with a more successful market this time around!
In June we had a 30,000 sqft venue that was supposed to have over 125 indoor vendors and a large area for food trucks, and the booth fee reflected on the cost for the space, as it was an INDOOR facility. However, a week before the event we were informed that the venue was no longer available. Finding a new venue of that size was impossible in the area, so we moved and tried to rework while we pushed the market. In doing so we had the majority of vendors drop out, but we were already out the cost of the venue, advertising, and everything else that goes into a market. I will ALWAYS send out a floor plan to the vendors before the date, and I did update the information on all of the websites when I noticed everything seemed to be fall apart. As of August, booth fees were adjusted and even with that we had a lot of vendor and food trucks drop out. I can not tell you how disappointed I was and how much I lost from the August event, but I am back again to make it better and to work to change the outlook.
Yes, this is being built, of course we are not an established Markey yet but we are striving to be one. I am striving to be transparent, I am a vendor and small business owner just like you! I created the markets to support other small businesses and artists in the area and I am shooting for the public to support you as well!
With all of this being said, I will not stand for negativity on this page. Our mission statement is built on the support of each other, without vendors there is no market, but without shoppers there are no vendors. I am here to build and support Artists and Small Businesses, nothing else.
I have had to block a few people that have taken it upon themselves to repeatedly comment and spew negativity. This is not the place for that.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk, I do truly want to support you and I hope that you can put your faith in me and help me to create this established market in the Texoma Area!
