We are super excited to announce we have awarded our first 1st place ribbon of the 2024 Fair Season! This ribbon is being awarded to Sarah Phillips. She is the winner of the Fair Catalog Cover Design Contest!!

The Union County Fair Pageant will be held on August 31, 2024 in the Activities Building located at the Union County Fair Grounds.

There’s still time to submit your artwork……

Calling all artists, any age!
Did you know that each year, we have a Fair Catalog that lists the weekly schedule, rules for entering exhibits in the home economics, general exhibits, farm crops and floriculture and other fair information ?? The front cover to the catalog has been looking a bit plain and we’ve decided it’s time to brighten it up!!!
That being said….. We would like to have an art competition and the winners artwork will be featured on the front of the 2024 Catalog. Deadline will be April 12, 2024.
Use any medium; the more color the better!!! Our 2024 Fair Theme is: There’s No Place Like The Fair.
Your artwork should pertain to the fair (examples: carnival, livestock animals, carnival food, tickets, etc.).
Drawings must be on a regular size copy paper (8 ½” x 11”) and be drawn in portrait orientation. You will need to make sure that somewhere it says “Union County Fair” and “SEPTEMBER 16-21, 2024” (PRETTY LARGE) as well as make your signature or mark on the page where you can show it off to everyone!
Mail it in a large manila envelope (no folding this paper please!) to:

WHO’S READY FOR A CONTEST?

Every year our vendors in the commercial building decorate to a theme. This theme is also used for pageant decorations and advertising. That being said - we are looking for a 2024 Theme!!

Requirements:
1. Must be a family friendly theme
2. Must relate to the Union County Fair
3. Submissions are to be emailed to: [email protected]
4. When you submit your theme idea be sure to include your name and age.
5. Submissions must be received by Noon, February 18th.
6. Late submissions will not be considered.
7. There will only be one winner.
8. DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR IDEA IN THE COMMENT SECTION BELOW!!!
9. DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR IDEA VIA MESSENGER.

Example of past years themes have been:
* Let’s “GLOW” To The Fair
* Under The Big Top
* “Falling” For The Fair
*Red, White & Blue Our Fairs For You

Prize: 1 Free Ride Wristband (Sept 2024 Fair Season) and you will be listed in the 2024 UCF Catalog as the winner of the theme contest.

They will be on the outside concrete slab and are scheduled to start at 7!!

It's Kids Day at the Union County Fair!
We open at 1:00 pm
Free Gate Admission for kids. $7.00 Gate for Adults.
Wristbands are $20.00 from 1 to 5 p.m.
**No wristbands will be sold between 5 & 6 pm
**Wristbands bought prior to 6 pm will not be valid after 6 pm
Wristbands will be $25.00 from 6 til close.

From 1 to 3 pm today - we will have a petting zoo, horse rides for the kids, temporary face tattoos, and pictures with Jr. Miss Union County Fair Queen Hailee.
