The Hernandez Family 🫶🏼

Anyel & Daniel booked me for her maternity shoot last year at the beach and they came back this year to document one year of life with their baby boy. How bitter sweet it was to capture these for them. 🥹

Little Adriel is so cute and is a true representation of love. He loves his little soccer ball and wanted to play with it through our whole session. I’m just saying I might have photographed the next FIFA World Cup champion 😉

In honor of my newest headshots here’s 5 random facts about me that you may or may not already know!! 🤪

1. I was born in Bluffton, raised in Huntington, but have lived in SO many surrounding towns: Warren, Warsaw, Big Lake, Tri-Lakes, Columbia City, Syracuse, and now I reside in Elkhart with no plans of moving towns again 🤣🤞🏼

2. I have a new found love of audiobooks and listen to books everyday now! I’m loving fantasy, thrillers, and romance! 🐉💕

3. In high school I almost decided to go to cosmetology school to be a hairstylist! I’m actually really good at styling hair! Just don’t ask me to cut your hair bc that’s a no from me now 💇🏻‍♀️

4. I have always worked a full time job while also running my business. I have been in the RV industry since 2018 and it has been a roller coaster for sure but I really am pleased with where I’m at now and the job I have! I edit photos and work on back end stuff through all of my breaks at work and my managers have said many good things about my work ethic 🥹🫶🏼

5. My big 3 are Sagittarius sun, Leo rising, and Cancer moon. Leaving me firey and yet so emotional. When she gets mad she cries, when she’s happy she cries, she just cries a lot okay? 🥲🌞🌛

Part 1 of Emiley & Tim’s beach date night ☀️

Playing in the sand during golden hour right before sunset. This location is one that has been in my mind since I started this journey back in 2021. Emiley was one of the first people I ever photographed in this exact spot. It was bitter sweet bringing her back here along with her hubby for a date night while they had a baby sitter for their littles.

Parents: don’t forget that getting photos of the two of you is just as important as family photos and having a date night away with your fav dinner and a photographer to capture it can spark the romance you’ve needed. ✨

I will forever believe that black and white images hold so much emotion. 🖤

In the past I would choose only certain images as black and whites but I have learned that as a client I want to see all photos in black and white and colored images. This year I have made the update to provide all edited color and black and white images in ALL galleries: weddings, families, couples, maternity, ect to better suit my clients. That way if you want to print and hang only black and white photos in your home you won’t have to reach out to me to update any images to black and white! 🫶🏼

I wanted to note that my editing has been evolving since editing this wedding. As a photographer my editing is always evolving. I think it shows so much growth when you evolve in your art. 🥰

A day well spent in Chicago 🏙️

Have you been stuck unsure of where to get your engagement or elopement photos taken? Let this be your sign to run, not walk, to explore the Art Institute of Chicago and have your love captured there.

From the art, to the beautiful architecture, you’ll have beautiful photos with multiple back drops. The best part of this spot is we can head here no matter the weather! If it’s cold, raining, snowing, or even just too hot outside for photos we will be safe away from all weather. ☺️

A record store engagement session for Kirsten & JJ ✨

Though the March air was crisp & cold we still found warmth to shoot their engagement session! The record store was so fitting for them and I decided a vintage feel would be GORGEOUS for this type of session. It’s always fun editing different than normal and Kirsten said it was exactly what they imagined! Their wedding is coming up so fast and I can’t wait for it!! ☺️

Friendly reminder that we don’t always have to shoot outside! Your engagement session should feel like you! If you aren’t outside often, then maybe an outdoor session isn’t the right space! I’m sounding like a broken record now, but the opportunities are endless for your session and it can feel more like a date than a photoshoot! 🥰
