After working with several local bands and, some stage crew work at the Moore Theater, and a successful tour at SxSW 2012 (10 bands, 37 shows, 5 days), it was time to open up for business. We have an affiliation with Critical Sun Recordings, ContactCreate Studios, and Triskelia Studios. Interesting show last night with Afraid of Figs at Club Sur. House crew struggled a bit, but the RSP & PSSC crew worked their hind parts off to make it the best possible experience for the crowd, which included many from the “Seattle Royalty” set😃. StayC, Nicki, Will, Wanz and many more. The last photo in this set is of Bubba & Thane, we all go back 35 years now and each have found various degrees of success in multiple ways in this crazy industry of music-many of those successes shared… these guys are my chosen brothers here in Washington. And to the Figs… Tee, Chris, Tee-Mo, & Brendan… welcome to the Rising Sun family!

Well, some gear arrived today from Sweetwater and American Musical Supply. Our mic pre rack is almost complete. Antelope Orion & Presonus Central Station made their way in, along with some Yamaha HS5s to add to the listening experience. Target date to open… February 2025.

Well, two 60” monitors arrived. As our tracking room is separated from the control room by another room, the monitors will be used for visual/audio connection between the rooms. Currently on stands, but will be wall mounted for a cleaner look. The control room is starting to reveal itself. No, the double monitor is not staying, just a place holder until a single 32” screen can be requisitioned. 500 series, chassis, & rack components are in place, with a few more yet to arrive.

Evan & MH DeeJayed for this year’s National Night Out in Buckley and two days later, set up and ran sound for Cap’n Arrr. The youth series shows are perfect low pressure situations to learn how to balance sound, operate the board (with and without an iPad), develop an understanding of live shows and work on client satisfaction skills.

When clients becomes friends. We have been involved with Almost Human for several years now after replying to a facebook post. Love working with this band.

The artist for these paintings was none other than the legendary Rick Trager.

Stage hand and bass tech extraordinaire Awesome Thomas Moore surprised the band with these one-of-a-kind portraits he commissioned for us.
He is a keeper.

Little late on the post, but Saturday was Hordefest which included my clients (& friends) ALMOST HUMAN, as the headliners. I get to live my dream of tech’ing for KISS, but without any drama! Officially, I’m the bass tech, but double as any other tech as needed/required by the show. And these guys do it all... blood splitting, fire breathing, smoking guitars & smashing guitars and I have the “best seat” in the house!

Dr. Crüe doing what they do. They graciously allowed interns from PSSC’s Digital Sound & Recording course to work as a stage crew that set up & tore down the stage, job shadowed the sound crew, and even did some FOH adjusting during the opening act, Ratts.
