Every great business starts with one. Ours began in 1968 when Grandpop Laing decided he wanted to retire and run a bar & marina on the Chesapeake Bay.

For decades, we’ve welcomed families, friends, and adventurers to celebrate life’s best moments on the Chesapeake Bay.

To create a space where love, laughter, and memories come alive — just like they have for three generations (and counting).

From dance hall in the 1920s to tavern and marina in the 60s-90s, and a waterfront destination now, Island View has always been about people, connection, and joy.
