Scenes from a magical destination wedding in August ✨

Courtney and Clayton were married in the clouds overlooking the Pacific coastline surrounded by their closest loved ones (and their adorable pups!). You may have seen me share about this day in my stories— this was the wedding we moved up a day due to the weather. All of the vendors rallied to make it happen for this sweet couple and I’m SO glad we did because the next day the storms hit ⛈️

We will do whatever it takes for our couples to make their day magical! Although I admit this was an extremely unique situation and unlikely to be replicated.

You breathe a huge sigh of relief knowing that you were able to be present with your loved ones and savor the special moments as they happened. You look out at your friends and family and are filled with gratitude for those who came to celebrate you. You look over at your person and you can’t help but smile because — you did it! You are MARRIED. 🥳 It was one of the best days of your life, and it went by fast — but it was everything you hoped and dreamed it would be. 🤍

As we’re heading into our “slower” season (does that even mean anything anymore? 🤪), I’ve been taking time to reflect back on what an incredible wedding season we had this year.

The couples, the vendors, the details, the venues — 2024 was one for the books. 🙌🏻

We have some fun events coming up including .west’s Harvest Fest and holiday events including Christmas party in December, but as for weddings we are done until the spring.

There are lots of ways to cut down costs for your wedding, but one of the simplest and most effective ways is to decrease your guest count.

Each guest you have at your wedding is directly tied to:
- catering costs ($100 per plate adds up quick)
- alcohol and bar costs
- rentals (chairs, place settings, napkins, linens…)
- venue (many venues have different pricing tiers based on the number of guests)
- dessert (a cake to feed 300 people will be significantly more than a cake to feed 50)
- florals (more guest tables = more centerpieces)
- stationery (invites, menus, place cards, etc)
- guest favors and exit items

Now don’t get me wrong, we love a big party!! But IF you find yourself with concerns over budget, consider opting for a smaller wedding rather than cutting out important elements and vendors you’ve been wanting to work with. Smaller weddings can also allow you the opportunity to be more intentional with your details.
