ALTERATIONS…….

Ladies, if you are getting married in 2024, and have not yet scheduled that first alterations appointment, please do that now.
✨
Several of our seamstresses are not taking any more brides who are getting married this summer, and that includes our in-house seamstress.
✨
We have heard many of our brides & their entourages say, “I have plenty of time”, when the truth is, you really don’t.
✨
We don’t want the process of finding your dress & alterations to be stressful, so for a general rule, follow these guideline:
- shop for your dress 12-9 months out from wedding date
- begin alterations 5-3 months out from wedding date
✨
In some cases these things can be done closer to your wedding date, but then you start incurring rush fees & we want to help you avoid any additional costs associated with your dress buying process.

Have you set up your menswear wedding profile yet? If you are getting married this summer, then the time has come for you to get that done.
✨
Typically we like your profile set up about 3 months before wedding date, but our menswear specialist, Madison, can work magic with quicker turn around. However, you definitely don’t want to wait until the last minute.
✨
Madison is available for menswear appointments on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays. She is by appointment ONLY, so be sure to schedule early, as her schedule does fill up.

If you are new to our Instagram & new to the Blush family, we just have a few reminders & updates for you!

- moving forward, at this time, our seamstress will only be taking Blush brides who are getting married September of this year or later.

- alterations are NOT included in the price of your gown, or included in any of our packages. If you need clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

- we are closed on Sundays & Mondays. If you text us on either of these days, we will get back to you first thing Tuesday.

- MENSWEAR; always due back by Tuesday before 5pm, unless other arrangements have been made with our menswear specialist.

A Lesson Learned - Our Services Have Value

We are often asked, “Why do you take a card on file?”, “Why can’t we bring in our own food and drinks?”, “Why do I have to make an appointment?”, “Why do you have a cancellation fee?”

Simple answer, because our services have value. We pride ourselves on not just providing a “service”, but providing an experience along with those services. We take time to prepare for your time with us & our stylists are trained to be able to provide you with the best experience possible.

We realize, we aren’t for everyone, and not everyone is going to find their dress with us (although this is rare 🤣 ), and that is ok. We just ask that our time is respected and that you can appreciate the fact that we have taken the time to prepare for you. When you “no show” for your appointment, it is unfair for our brides who had tried to schedule for that day; and couldn’t. We value this experience for every single bride & hope those who do schedule an appointment with us value it as well.

We love to celebrate every bride and the amazing memories they make along the way of wedding planning! From following each other on instagram, to DMing you when you’re having fun at your bachelorette party; we try to make your experience with Blush a celebration instead of just “one step” in the process!

Saying YES to your most perfect dress is supposed to be fun! It’s supposed to be a time of creating memories with your loved ones that you will never forget. We have a few helpful tips to making sure this experience is smooth and one to remember!
-
1.Do your research! - make sure you do research into the stores you are shopping at before booking your appointments. If you have certain budget restraints or are searching for a very specific style check with the bridal shops you want to shop at to make sure they are a good fit for you.
-
2. Bring the right people - when picking your appointment Trent guest list make sure to think about who will make this the best time! Bringing those who are negative & make you not excited for this experience probably aren’t the ones to bring.
-
3. Shop early but not too early - we recommend shopping for your dress 9-12 months out so that gives time for your dress to arrive and do alterations but we also don’t recommend shopping too early. When you shop 2+ years out and are not ready to commit to a dress it sometimes makes this experience harder because you are not expecting to fall in love with a dress and most of the time bride’s do fall in love!

4. Be financially ready to find the ONE - I can’t tell you how many brides come in for a full Classic bridal appointment, find the one, have their say yes moment with tears and excitement and then realize they financially are not ready. When finding the one we just ask for half down on your invoice balance. It is not the full financial investment of your purchase but it is still a big commitment that we suggest you come into your appointment with this in mind.

Well it’s been a week this last week, both myself & my whole family had the stomach flu and my mom & I were both out for almost 5 days. We are both feeling a ton better and ready to start this fresh week off with some fun!

For all of us at Blush… Saturdays are about the dress. 💍

Saturdays are our favorite day. It’s a rush around process to get prepared for the day but then once a stylist is with her bride in their bridal suite, that moment is all we focus on. Of course there are distractions but getting into that bridal suite and discussing what a bride wants for her big day and what she invisions wearing & looking like is all we are fixated on.

We are FULLY booked and it’s going to be an EPIC memory filled day for both us, all our brides and all their friends and family!
