I’ve shared this before, but my favorite part of a wedding day is the speeches. I feel like I always learn something about the couple and see them through their MOH/Best man’s eyes.

Since I’ve seen so many, here are my tips if you’re planning one:
1. 4-6 minutes long. You’re gonna lose people after that.
2. Share a memory. People LOVE to hear stories. It’s in our nature. They’re also usually pretty easy to follow and get the crowd listening to you.
3. Start light, end heavy. Keep the jokes at the begging of the speech, and lean more emotional toward the end.
4. THANK people. It’s kinda the point of a toast. Take some time to shout out the bride and groom, but also their families.
5. Find a theme. Maybe this is just the ex-writing teacher in me, but you can really tie a speech together well by finding a theme. Something like waiting, perfection, or loyalty are some that stick out in my mind. Use your memories together to collaborate a message about marriage.

And if you want to practice, I’m your girl! Many MOHs have performed a trial run with me in the kitchen.

Let’s talk food and drinks for Wednesday!

Shakers Bartending - Shakers will be serving up pineapple margaritas to set the tropical mood! Industrial Grove requires you to have a licensed bartender if you plan on drinking on your big day. Shakers is the best! They can customize a plan that makes sense for you and your guests!

Kettle and Que - This food truck is has some of the best Barbecue! Although he won’t be bringing the actual truck on Wednesday, you can try some samples! If you want a food truck at your wedding, this is a great option!!

This was our biggest wedding to date, caping out at around 360. Yes, our max is still 300 🤣

I’m not surprised so many people love Zoe and Nathan. They both radiate joy, and bless everyone they meet!

And by the way, the day went beautifully! It was so organized, beautifully decorated, and fun! Here’s the pictures to prove it! 😜

Dreamy and Darling - Sydnie can do it all! Although she specializes in balloons, Dreamy and Darling has an array of unique rentals. If you have a vision, she knows how to execute, and honestly make it even better than you imagined!

She is also a co-owner of .417! As you’re planning your showers and parties in this season, this store is a must stop for the hostess with the mostess!

Iris Event rentals - I am always blown away by Tatyana’s beautiful backdrops! Her pieces can truly elevate a space like nothing else! She’s also one of the hardest working women I know.

I’m so thankful to have both of these ladies out next Wednesday!

One of the most popular responses to why people selected our venue is this right here. An indoor option if you need it! With unpredictable Missouri weather, it puts brides at ease to have an option that isn’t your reception space.

Ashley planned on having an outdoor wedding, but it was unbearably hot that day, so she decided to go indoors. And look how pretty it turned out!

Whether it’s your first time out, or your fifth, I’d love to have you. This time, I’m making it the ultimate date or girls night! Make wedding plans with your people while grabbing some barbecue, meeting with vendors, and YOU CAN BET I’ll have you a drink with an umbrella!

I want to spotlight some of the vendors coming out each Sunday!
- Divine Linx and Sprays will be offering permanent jewelry! How cute would it be to book them for the morning of your wedding? I know a bridal suite that would be perfect for this! 😜

-Megan’s Bake shop will be serving up the ice cream! Who doesn’t love an ice cream truck at their wedding? She also makes some amazing cakes!

Hot take: I love it when people focus on their grandparents throughout the day. Even going as far to include them in first looks and first dances. Your grandparents are witnessing their legacy, and getting to see how the generations after them will continue to flourish because of what they created. Celebrate that!
