ANNOUNCEMENT
To my amazing followers,
Happy New Year from me and my babies, to you and yours! 🎆🎉
I hope all of our followers had an incredible 2024, and a beautiful holiday season with the people, and fur babies, you love the most.
2024 was a busy year for us. We relocated to DC temporarily for work, and have been busy living the city life, but certainly missing our home in West Virginia!
I have had lots of time to think about the future of Milomuffin’s, and it is with an extremely heavy heart that I have decided to close this little business of mine.
I believe that everything in life has a season, and serves a purpose for your life. As the boys and I move into the next season of our life, I plan to dedicate more time to the building blocks that will create the foundation for our future: building up the relationships with the people we love, home renovations, making memories with the people we love, traveling a little more, actually resting during the holiday season, a little more overtime at work when I can find it, and more long walkies and fetch at the park for sure.
I started Milomuffin’s in a season when I was a little lonely, a little sad, looking for a creative outlet, relatively new to the post-college world of adulting. And for all that I poured into this business, it gave me back so much more than I could have hoped for— immeasurable gifts and blessings really. Milomuffin’s took off and became so much more than I ever dreamt it could or would be. Let me tell you— the pride I felt over starting and running my own little business, the courage I had to find overnight to become a salesperson and vibrant extrovert on market days (which was wonderful, but a challenge for me),the resilience I learned when I failed at something that I thought was going to be a hit and then it flopped, the time management I had to get really good at between working full time and baking dog treats full time on market weeks. I grew so much through my years of running Milomuffin’s. But none of that compares to the greatest blessing that came from this venture. The friendships I made along the way. I am blessed to have had customers who showed me endless love and support and grace, other business owners who took a chance on me, sold my treats in their stores, or gave me advice when I needed it most. Between other amazing vendors at markets and my sweet sweet customers, I’ve met people with whom I will have cherished friendships forever, all because I decided to make dog treats for your dogs too, not just mine. A gift from God, for sure.
Milomuffin’s was a true labor of LOVE, and I will miss it, and all of you, so terribly. (I already do after having to sit out all of 2024, and especially the 2024 holiday market season.) From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to all of you who made this business a success, for every order, for every like/share/follow, for every review and picture of your babies eating my snacks. I’m forever grateful for each of you.
Love, Jordan
