Lolly Bee Bayou's stage is lucky to welcome Hayes Peebles - an amazing songwriter with a mustache that can sing some stories! 🔥 Hayes Peebles was born and raised in New York City, where indie rock was the soundtrack to his days. But at night and at home, he taught himself guitar by plucking out folk songs, country songs, and sad songs. Neil Young, Townes van Zandt, and Roy Orbison instilled in him a love of twang and melancholy that he couldn't shake. Unable to deny his affinity for folk, country, and the acoustic guitar, Peebles found himself in Nashville crafting songs that have earned him praise from Rolling Stone Country, Paste, No Depression, KUTX Austin, and The Boot. After receiving an invitation to play Nikki Lane's stage at the Stagecoach Festival last year, Hayes hunkered down to make his debut full length with Grammy-nominated producer Dan Knobler. His record 'My Old Friend' is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2024.

Cheers to whatever little critter decided we needed these perfect little surprise pumpkins this year! Cute “prank”. 😘 These plants took over our compost pile and we embraced their wild hearts and let them live their own dream. Amazing what beauty comes from such a simple act. 🧡

Lolly Bee Bayou’s mission is to create a community of family, friends, lovers and neighbors - ALL creatures included. We're so excited to partner with Nashville Wildlife Conservation (NWCC) for our next After Hours event on October 7 to support the amazing work they're doing to support some these amazing creatures we get to share our spaces with! 🐢💚

NWCC connects children and adults in urban environments to nature. To do this, NWCC will foster wildlife education in community spaces, provide wildlife rehabilitation services, and connect residents to their urban natural areas through meaningful, collaborative programs and experiences.

We dipped into the beginning of summer with new and old friends and neighbors by kicking up some dust, snackin’ on crawdaddies and vegan muffuletta and camping in our sweet loblolly pines.

Hey After Hours campers! We're super excited to share a night in the pines with you tomorrow, May 6! 🏕️🌙

A few things to note about camping:

• Camping location is first come first served. Feel free to get set up anytime after 4pm on May 6.
• Please message us to let us know you'll be camping, when you expect to arrive, your setup and number of campers.
• We do not provide water or electricity.
• Camp fires limited to the fire ring we'll have set up in the camping area.
• Must completely extinguish fire when unattended.
• Do not feed donkeys or go into their fence area. They are on a very special diet!
• Please dispose of all trash in the provided trash container.
• Check-out is at 11am. Please exit through the barn gate you came through on entry. No need to let us know when you're checking out. 🙂

We are forever appreciative of Tennessee Equine Hospital for keeping all of our donkeys - especially our Walnut and Rosie - happy and healthy! 🐴💕 We had quite the scare with Walnut shortly after we got her (sometimes you gotta squeeze a donkey into a Honda Fit!) and she spent 4 nights under their care and came back as wild and wonderful as ever! Our Rosie is currently undergoing thorough treatment to hopefully avoid a somewhat invasive nasal septum removal surgery due to a fungal infection. We’re so fortunate that they understand our animals are pets, and that they treat our animals as their own.

Tennessee Equine Hospital's mission is to provide an exceptional facility, staffed with talented doctors and technicians focused on patient care. For the past eight years, Emily Kidd has been singing in H***y Tonks all over Nashville. As she played alongside some of the best musicians Nashville has to offer, including Just Whiskey, her love for the sounds of traditional country music grew deeper - and harder to find. Her music is a way to try and carve her own path within the hallowed corridors of country music with a sound that blends everything and everyone that has been a part of the journey. She’s finally got something to say, and she’s not mincing any words.

Cheers to Mark Thornton, who’ll get the party started for our Crawfish Boil! Mark is a multi-talented guitar player, producer, and engineer based in Nashville, Tennessee. His experience as a professional guitarist began in the ‘80s, in the Los Angeles country western scene, playing at the famous Palomino Club and the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum. Mark was also the guitar player for guitar legend Jerry Reed, recording and touring with him throughout the country. His studio, Sidekick Sound has been graced by great pickers and players over the years, including Jerry Reed, Marty Stuart, and Chris Scruggs.
