**Detroit, MI** – The Preservation of Jazz, in collaboration with Harmony & Swank, is thrilled to present an extraordinary event in celebration of Women's History Month – "The Satin Doll R***e." This captivating journey into the world of timeless jazz and blues will be led by the charismatic Sky Covington, a celebrated jazz and blues vocalist, songwriter, and bandleader.

**A Musical Tribute:**
Backed by a talented live band, Sky Covington's "Satin Doll R***e" promises to be a night of musical enchantment. The showcase features a diverse repertoire, ranging from soulful blues ballads to dynamic traditional jazz tunes. The performance is elevated by carefully designed sets, costumes, and a star-studded lineup paying homage to legendary artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, Nina Simone, and Billie Holiday.

Detroit native, Sheila Landis, has been performing her unique amalgam of jazz, Brazilian music and blues since 1973. Landis absorbed the songs of the 1960's British Invasion; fell hard for the beats and catchy choruses of Motown; embraced 1970's funk and sweet soul harmonies of the Stylistics, later grooving to jazz-pop artists like Steely Dan and Sting. 🎶🎤💫

Landis will be joining Precious Night Events Supper Club & Live Entertainment at our Detroit Queens of Jazz event on March 25 at the Greater Detroit Community Outreach Center - and we just know she will bring a unique style and flavor all her own. 🔥👏🎤
