After much deliberation, Brad and I have decided to sell Ike’s Florist. I feel like it’s time to prioritize certain things in life. Brad and I have 6 wonderful children, a beautiful granddaughter and another grand baby on the way. Brad has continued his families legacy and our family farm grows more and more each year. This is a wonderful thing, but takes much of Brads time. We understand our limited hours are a struggle for most. I try and divide my time as much as possible between the floral business and being a mom. We would love your help putting the word out that we are looking for someone to continue providing our wonderful customers with the comfort, love, and support that they deserve. Help our high school meet the need

We will be hosting a drive to send personal hygiene kits to those affected in NC in and around the Asheville area. We would like to get these send out on Friday afternoon so it is a short donation window. This is to support the South East District of the LCMS who has a need for 18,000 kits. We are asking for students, families, and our community to do what they can. There is a very specific list below of what can be in a kit. You can drop off full kits or some parts of a kit. There will be a collection point outside the front of our HS so you can drop off at all hours. Our school believes if you "see a need, meet the need".

Please lift this family up in your prayers and keep them in your thoughts, as they mourn the loss of a great young man.

It’s with such a heavy heart that I am even making this post. As most of you have learned already, we lost my sweet baby brother last night. This is by far the hardest post I’ll ever make.

But, Today.. today is all about Dalton. If you’ve been with us for the past three years since we took over then you remember this face. This boy worked with me every day for lunch the first few months until he graduated. And he still pops in on his rain days. He just popped in yesterday, and spent the morning with me. He has always been my biggest supporter, I don’t know who will keep me open now. 😔

This boy was one of a kind. Anything that anyone needed, he was there. Didn’t matter what he was doing, he dropped it and came to help. He was hardworking and determined. He loved his trucks and cars, but by golly he loved his family more. Especially his nephews. He was the proudest uncle.

So today, in honor of our guy, our special is

The Dalton Sandwich
~ 6” Turkey, Salami, Pepperoni, Swiss cheese, black pepper, garlic salt, honey mustard, smoky Mayo, onion, green pepper and lettuce.

Then we will have an Italian Grinder Pasta Salad! ~ rotini noodles, an Italian cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, banana pepper, ham, pepperoni, and salami.

All I ask is for prayer and love today, and that you all hold your people tight. This big sister has quite the hole in her heart today.
