Growing up in New Jersey , Halloween was a big deal, mostly everyone celebrated it by decorating and trick or treating door to door . C was influenced by his mothers holiday spirit at a very young age. He began helping his mother stuff old clothes with the fallen fall leaves and placing pumpkin heads on them. ...Every year the scenes would get bigger and bigger eventually being taken completely ov
er by Brandon in his late teens. He would transfer their small yard and porches into a haunted setting that gained a lot of popularity in his home town of Edison, NJ . C left New Jersey when he enlisted in the military and eventually settling in Prince Edward County, VA. Here he purchased a home on 2 acres and Mr.C Haunted Trick or Treat was born. Although in VA door to door Trick or Treating is not common in the country back roads he began to get a following once again. The first year a few kids the next a few more and the last season it was held it had 70 visitors ! However he was still military reserves and was deployed a couple times during the Halloween season so unfortunatly he was not able to have the event. This year (2012) he has decided to return to host the even thanks to his family , friends and volunteer actors encouragement. The event changes a little every year but it consists of multiple horror and sci-fi scenes which you are pulled through on a short hayride. Finally the event finishes up when you exit the hayride and bring your child up for the treats on a haunted porch. No age restrictions and no entry fee but a donation jar will be available if you so choose , props/costumes cost ALOT so any donations will be put right back into the event for next year This event is 100% kid safe guaranteed as Mr.C is a Prince Edward County Deputy Sheriff with a son of his own. We will hand out treats to the VERY small children before dark without having to ride the hayride because after dark the property has been known to scare small children , but it is Parents Discretion on this as there are no age restrictions. All other visitors are recommended to come after sunset for the full experience. Hope to see you there !!!!!!
