2. 3rd Annual Best of the Nest Car Show
📍 Location: Yulee High School
⏰ Time: 10 AM - 2 PM
✨ Description: Calling all car enthusiasts! Join us for the 3rd annual Best of the Nest car show at YHS on November 9th, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, and showcase your vehicle for a $20 entry fee. Spectators are admitted for free, and there will be food available for purchase, raffle tickets for prizes, and top ten senior choice awards!

This November, we’re helping families create fun and meaningful Thanksgiving decorations! Each Sunday, check back for a new DIY craft to make your space festive and filled with gratitude.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This Week’s Craft: Handprint Thanksgiving Garland

Turn handprints into a garland filled with messages of thanks! Hang it across the mantel, table, or doorway to celebrate the season with your loved ones.

🖌 What You’ll Need:
Construction paper (fall colors) 🍁
Scissors ✂️
Markers or paint pens 🖍️
String or twine
Glue or tape

✨ How to Do It:
Trace and cut each family member’s handprint.
Write what you're thankful for on each one.
Punch a hole near the wrist and string them together.
Hang the garland and add more handprints throughout the month! 🎉

🎃👻 Spooky Fun at Yulee Sports Complex! 👻🎃
We had a blast setting up for Nassau County Parks & Recreation's 4th Annual Halloween Festival! Our signage greeted families at the entrance with a festive Happy Halloween display surrounded by gnomes, candy, and all things spooky. From playful ghosts to eerie zombies, we added several fun photo ops for guests throughout the event. It’s always a pleasure to go beyond the yard and deck out our community for these celebrations!

🍂 Sunday Funday Fall Craft: Leaf Lanterns! 🍂

Light up your fall evenings with this easy and beautiful DIY Leaf Lantern project! Perfect for kids and adults, these lanterns bring a cozy autumn glow to your home and are ideal for front porch decor or a centerpiece. ✨

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Craft Idea: Leaf Lanterns!
These glowing jars covered with pressed leaves capture the magic of fall and make every room feel warm and festive! 🍁

🖌 What You’ll Need:
Mason jars (or any glass jars)
Pressed leaves (real or artificial) 🍂
Mod Podge or craft glue
Sponge brush
LED lights

✨ How to Do It:
Press leaves under a heavy book for a day or two if using real leaves.
Apply Mod Podge to the outside of the jar using the sponge brush.
Gently press leaves onto the glue-coated jar, smoothing them down.
Apply another layer of Mod Podge over the leaves to seal them.
Once dry, place a tea light candle or LED light inside and watch your lantern glow! 🌟

What a fantastic week it has been. We celebrated with dozens of graduates across Nassau County. I had the JOY of working hand in hand with my daughter. AND we wrapped it up by helping a sweet pop named Palm have a great afternoon on the Island. If you’re like me and you love what you do - you might find it hard to take a break or slow down. If need a purpose to find peace? Check out the Doggie Date program at NCAS. Break a puppy out of the pound for the afternoon, let them have a great day, introduce them to people who may not have seen them, then bring them back to the loving care of the pros. It’s ok to be tired. Go pet a puppy.

Come adopt Palm! He’s looking for a forever home! He’s 3 and a half years old and is super sweet! He would most likely do best in a pet free home, due to him being aggressively playful. He’s at NCAS! (Nassau County Animal Services!)

After a combined 38 years of service the Brinkley family has put down roots in Yulee, FL. Originally founded as Big B’s Bouncers our company began as the retirement plan for Byron aka Big B - but life had other plans - and Jinger aka Mama B took over. With the leadership change came the addition of Yard Card services, and closure of bounce houses. Big B’s Bouncers transformed to Big B’s Yard Cards and the rest is a fun filled history.
