DEWOMP keeps it sacred, silly, & sexy; it's "janky swanky!" Dewompification Station is a concept that was developed in 2010 by Matt Roach in Flagstaff, AZ.

The second year of Firefly Gatherings was underway and the ideas to build and create a space that brought together comfort, beauty and art were awakening. The idea to create a space that had the elements of a cozy living room stems from that moment at a festival when you cannot dance one more step but sleep eludes you. The dewompifcation station provides cozy beds, warm blankets and puddles of cud

dles to soothe the tired soul. Five years later and the Dewompification Station has taken on a life of it's own, no longer just a staple at Firefly and forest parties, what is commonly referred to as Dewomp has become integrated in various events around Flagstaff. The team behind Dewomp strives to bring an aesthetic environment to events by providing community art, artists, ambient lights, and a cozy sensual atomsphere with a morrocan style vibe. Dewomp continually works towards providing a level of comfort and community and an emphasis on wellness and concious partying. a dancefloor devotional, in collaboration with ARTx Ideas Festival Flagstaff

May 26th, from 8PM til Midnight we present the season opener for the side stage area on the west side of the Orpheum Theater, now known as "Stage Unity" (see the mural). Under the stars, and among the aesthetic comforts of DeWomp, we bring drag, pole dancing, and Flagstaff's firiest deejays to herald the beginning of our growing season & warm summer nights!

Hosted by the 1 and only Dapper Dre, and featuring headlining performances by Lady Shug and Tyler, with support from the "Blooming From the Ashes" pole dancers, plus DJs Tam Taco, Jean Jacket, & Emmett White.

So very grateful for our DeWOMP family. We have grown so much over the years and we wouldn't be where we are today without all of the key players.

It takes a solid team to create the unique, intentional, cozy space that we provide. The creative structures, the intentionally strewn fabric, the beautifully crafted shades, the stage, the lighting, the special drink concoctions, the scheduling, the unique personalities that make it come to life, and all the other bits and bobs that make the DeWOMP so magical.

So grateful for this kickass crew. We look forward to more growth and creation of beautiful, intentional spaces and events with you all.

Also grateful for all of YOU! DeWOMP would not be what it is today if it weren't for all of the support from the people who frolic in the space, teach or attend workshops, the movers and shake your body-ers, the music makers, and those who see our vision and add to the magic with your presence.
